As Mylo stepped into the shop he was instantly enveloped by the sounds of many different animals, and he found that he didn't quite mind as it seemed to give them a sense of peace. Walking over to the isle with cat products they thought about the previous day.

They had gotten home quite late due to the train ride and the subsequent car drive up the Durham, not that Mylo had minded as it gave them a lot of time to talk about what had been going on a school with their family. There was quite a lot to tell them and it took most of the journey, Andrea asking a ton of questions, she was hoping she'd get in as well by the looks of things, Mylo answering them all with as much detail as possible.

Once they had gotten home they went to grab the first bag that he could easily carry, wanting to get inside first and have a quick drink of water. Walking in after their dad he put his bag down, heading directly towards the kitchen. Not being able to get to far due to the fact that a black blob was occupying the sofa, a black blob that Mylo had never seen before, and that concerned them. Walking over slowly they saw it poke it's head up and give a soft miaow.

Shock overcame them, and he felt a hand on their shoulder. "We know how much you have always wanted a cat, and so we decided to give you this as a little present for making it through the year. And you don't have to worry, we found out that this one doesn't have an effect on me and doesn't trigger my allergies for some reason. It was quite the trial and error, but it was worth it to see your face." His pa states, ushering in the rest of the family. Andrea sporting a huge grin on her face. "It's a cat! Pa sneezed so much trying to find one that he wasn't allergic to. It was insane how loud his sneezes can get." She laughed.

As the shock subsided he immediately turned around and hugged their parents, immensely grateful for the gift. "Thank you, thank you! I'll take such good care of them, do they have a name yet? And it should also be okay because I'll take them to school so you don't have to be around them as much" He said, looking at his pa and sporting the biggest grin, vibrating with excitement and bouncing up and down.

Their dad sporting a similar grin looked over to them. "He doesn't have a name yet, we thought that would be best for you to decide, as you will be spending the most time with him."

Walking over to the cat Mylo knelt besides him, holding out his hand for the cat to sniff. And that it did, following it with headbutting their hand for pets. "hmmm, I think I'll call you Ash. That's a pretty name." He said, petting the black cat, completely enamoured by it and not noticing the happy smiles their parents were sporting.
