Patronuses
Hello! I remember looking into patronuses a few years ago, probably when I was a 2nd year, but all I can recall about what I did or didn't learn is that that was a higher-level feature and I had to wait until (I think it was) fifth year. I was wondering, is there an application for that somewhere, or do you just come up with one and say "okay, that's my character's patronus" kind of like with amortentia/boggart/erised/etc.? Since there's a slot for it on the character cards of some adults I've seen I'm kind of thinking it's the first thing. Do we pick our own or get one assigned? And do you have to purchase it like a pet or do something along the lines of how we got our wands? Thanks so much!

@Linda Ramirez ohh okay thanks so much! I guess I assumed 5th year because that's when they did patronuses in the books. Have a great day
