The train
Ronald "Ron" Winnerman stood at Platform 9 ¾, eyes wide with a mix of excitement and nerves. It was his first year at Hogwarts, and he could hardly believe he was finally here. The scarlet steam engine of the Hogwarts Express puffed gently, waiting for students to board. His mother fussed over him, making sure he had everything he needed, while his older brother, Jacob, offered some last-minute advice.
"Remember, Ron, keep your head down and don't get into trouble," Jacob said, ruffling Ron's hair.
"I’ll be fine, Jake," Ron replied, though he felt a flutter of anxiety in his stomach.
He dragged his trunk towards the train and, with a final wave to his family, he clambered aboard. Inside, the compartments were a bustle of activity as students found their seats and reunited with friends. Ron wandered down the aisle, looking for an empty spot. Finally, he found an empty compartment near the back and heaved his trunk onto the rack above the seats. He sat down, taking a deep breath to steady his nerves.
As the train started moving, the door to his compartment slid open. A boy with messy blonde hair and round glasses peered in, looking just as lost as Ron felt.
"Do you mind if I sit here? Everywhere else is full," the boy asked.
"Sure," Ron replied, glad for the company. "I'm Ron, by the way. Ron Winnerman."
"I'm Jake. Jake Somerson."
“Life will always have obstacles and those who oppose you, but how you respond is what matters most. Be kind, be respectful, and be confident in who you are. That’s how you will truly overcome the prejudices you face.”
