Spectator Thread for Beauxbatons vs. Castelobruxo + Uagadou - Summer 2024

This year, Summer Camp came with a big surprise wrapped in ice and snow. Ying wasn't yet sure what to make of all of that, she loved summer time, to be able to enjoy the warmth of the sun, to take time for a proper swimming and all the activities related with that said time of the year. Arriving at the London Quidditch Stadium and seeing that “winter has come” was quite a shocking experience. But despite the terrain being covered in a blanket of white, the weather was pleasant and the cold wind caused by the frozen environment was actually very welcome and refreshing.

Sitting at the high benches, at the seats provided for the commentators, Ying took her time to observe the environment surrounding her. Was her first time ever at a real quidditch stadium, and that alone was reason enough for all her excitement that day. What an amazing and unique opportunity, to be able to comment a race in such a renown place. She felt specially honored and privileged with that possibility.

Soon, everyone was getting ready to watch and cheer for their favorite team. The applause grew louder and some chants could be heard, in different languages. Colorful flags and banners waved in the wind and in the hands of the crowd. It was exhilarating and would always be the reason for a big, bright smile to spread across Ying's face.

With the arrival of all racers to the icy and frozen field, Ying knew it was time to get it started. "Good morning everyone! Welcome to the London Quidditch Stadium that will tremble upon such fierce and amazing crowd! I hope you're all having a lovely and cheerful moment, get your lungs ready to show your team the deserved support." She started by a way of greeting, "In one of the teams we have the extraordinaire Beauxbatons!" She called out, pausing so they could all hear the deafening sounds of support coming from the white and blue seats. "And in the other hand, the not less outstanding teams from Castelobruxo and Uagadou!"

"Alright, everyone is ready?" She asked eyeing all the participants, "Very well, good luck everyone, let's get this starting. At my signal...three, two, one, GO!"
