Welcome to Crossed Wands!

You could apply to the School's Official Duelling Club, but you'd potentially be put on a waitlist. Or you could join the 1v1 Dueling Club, but then it would just be you versus another student.

With Crossed Wands, we aim to facilitate duelling for everybody, for any condition you want to meet. You want to be brave and participate in a 1v2? Not a problem. 3v3? Sure. How about a royale - 10v10? It'll give the moderator a headache, but let's try it!

I shouldn't have to, but I'll put a disclaimer here anyway. This is only possible if we have the players for it.

When you join, you'll be assigned a Level / Rating. This will be based on several factors, including your Stats/Year and your experience within Crossed Wands. So, we will all be starting roughly the same (differing slightly, perhaps, for the non-humans).

OOC: There's a lot I'm still working on behind the scenes, and I've never moderated a duel before. However, I have DM'd Dungeons & Dragons, so I think I can manage. If we can get a duel up and running, I can test how things are going to work. You just have to keep in mind we're all learning here!

This is a duel I'm currently experimenting with on Discord to learn the mechanics. For reasons, I'm duelling Harry Potter (both First Years). I have assigned him average stats (5 across the board) as he only gets 30 points due to him being a Parselmouth.

To keep things unbiased, and so I can't be accused of cheating, if nobody else can moderate for a duel I'm participating in, I will be using a dice roller on Discord to randomise my actions OR I will message an ally / someone not participating in the duel my action BEFORE I receive anybody elses.
