Alliasta had just gone out for fresh air and had taken Kaito with her because she thought the ferret was bored. But her only mistake was looking away from Kaito for a moment. And when she returned, the ferret was already gone.

Alliasta was seriously angry at Kaito now. Because the naughty ferret was always running away somewhere. And now he's disappeared from the Camp grounds and Alliasta can't find him. Alliasta was looking around with a quick but careful step. And she was also calling the ferret's name.

"Kaito! You naughty little man, if I find you you will get a really severe punishment!"

Alliasta began searching around the campsite. She didn't want to look inside the tents, but if she couldn't find Kaito here, she would have to look in them too. When Alliasta saw a boy reading a book outside, she thought it would be a good idea to go to him and ask if he saw Kaito. She was talking more freely to the boys now, but she was still blushing a little. Alliasta approached the boy and patted him on the shoulder. The boy turned to Alliasta.

"Hello, I'm Alliasta. I'm interrupting your reading, but have you ever seen a ferret around here? My ferret just disappeared and I can't find him."

Alliasta asked the boy gently. She was really worried about Kaito and that's why her eyes were wet. But she still kept her cute smile.

Renzo had decided to take a walk alone outside, something he often did to clear his mind. He had packed his bag pack with a few items that he thought he’d need along the way. A water bottle, a book, a journal and a plastic sealed bag that contained a few of his homemade baked goods to nibble on if he got peckish.

It was a fine day, for a change which meant there were more students out than normal. Most were in groups chatting excitedly about the events that were taking place over the next few days, others were playing board games, some huddled in groups giggling, but Renzo took little notice to what they were all saying. He didn’t want to be overly nosey even though a part of him inside itched at the thought of getting a bit of gossip. It was a hidden trait, or habit, he had clearly gotten from his mother who was a popular journalist in Italy for her juicy news and sharp words.

Shrugging off the idea, he pushed forward to a quieter area that seated a few logs and a soft patch of grass. It was a perfect spot for him to plant himself. “Aah~” He sighs happily once he gotten comfy, his bag resting against the log behind him which also supported his back. He pulled out his book and flicked to the page he was last on. A pressed daisy had been his bookmark. The sight always brought a small smile to his lips.

A few minutes in and Renzo felt a tap on his shoulder, causing him to flinch and draw his attention away from the book. His eyes lifted and met with what seemed a rather timid looking girl with rosy cheek. He listened to her and studying her expression. Loosing a pet was worrying, which explained the tears that were building in her eyes. “Hey it’s okay, I can help you look.” He replied almost instantly before giving her a chance to become more emotional. “I’m sure he wouldn’t have gotten far!”

He gave her a reassuring smile before he rested the daisy in the book, closing it once more and placing it against the log.

“Where did you last see him?” He asked calmly to try and ease her nerves. Standing beside the girl, he dusted himself off and readjusted his baggy grey jumper.

Alliasta now wiped her tears and looked at the boy with an excited smile. He really wanted to help Alliasta. This was great. Alliasta was very happy about this news. Then when the boy asked her a question, she answered immediately.

"Actually, the last time he and I went out to get some fresh air, he was standing next to me. But then when I turned to wave at someone I knew, he suddenly left."

After some thought, Alliasta realized that this was an unhelpful thought. So Kaito could be anywhere right now. But he definitely couldn't have gone outside the campsite, so the girl thought some more. And then she turned to the boy and spoke with her gentle voice.

"Kaito likes to approach people, even if he doesn't know them. But he's not very active during the day, so he must have fallen asleep somewhere around. He must not have gone too far."

Alliasta knew Kaito. So it's daytime right now and he's a nocturnal animal so he's definitely sleeping somewhere right now.

"So it would be better for me to look for him together. But before that, what was your name? I mean, I was too hasty and forgot to ask!"

Alliasta gave the boy her cute smile. She was more comfortable talking now.

Renzo’s eyes darted from the girl, to their surroundings every so often whilst she spoke. It made sense. Ferrets always seemed like little rascals from what he had seen and heard of them, and were known for being more active during the evenings, so there was a high possibility that she was right about him falling asleep somewhere.

His eyes lingered on the people around them for a moment before they set back on Alliasta. “Yeah. I don’t think he would have gone far. There are lots of people around too so he could be somewhere hidden? Unless.. he can sleep through pretty much anything and not be disturbed?” He questions her before giving her a reassuring smile once more, hoping his queries weren’t worrying her too much.

He gave a nod to her, accepting to look for ferret together. Two pair of eyes were better than one. “Oh. Right. I’m Renzo Russo!” His soft smile turned into a somewhat goofy grin as he held out his hand for her to shake it. His mother always told him first impressions mattered, and manners should be given under all circumstances unless people take them for granted. In this case, there wasn’t, she seemed nice.

If she declined his handshake, he would brush it off without a thought. If she was to shake it, he would release after the formal greeting and motion with his head over to a more quieter area that held shrubs and more confined spaces like rocks toppled over each other, logs that were perfect for little creatures to get snug within. “Let’s start over there. It’s close by, but if we find nothing, we’ll go back to where you came from and start over.” He took his bag whilst he spoke, paying little attention to the added weight of his bag. Swinging it over his shoulder, he began to walk alongside her in search for Kaito.

Alliasta thought about Renzo's questions.

"No, Kaito does not hide from people, on the contrary, he has a personality that likes to play with new people. He is very playful. But still, this place is very crowded, maybe he was a little scared, I'm not sure."

Alliasta had become very attached to Kaito since she was with him. This little ferret always made her laugh and they had fun together. Usually, whenever Kaito went somewhere, he always came back because the things around him never fully satisfied him, he always got bored and went back to Alliasta's arms to sleep.

Alliasta hoped to be able to find Kaito with her new search buddy. After all, two people were always better than one. She was still worried about Kaito. If this cute little guy, who is generally not afraid of anyone, got lost somewhere, it would be Alliasta's nightmare. These thoughts made the girl a little nervous.

"Renzo, do you think we can find him? I'm really worried about him."

Alliasta's eyes were now filled with tears again. So of course he couldn't have escaped anywhere from here, but there was still concern. The girl who had always had a positive personality had now become a little pessimistic. Having Renzo next to her made her calmer.
