Interacting with @River Luxley Date - 08/05/24 WC 312/200 Color Legend - Mylo | Thoughts It had been quite a productive day of study, he had found himself inside of one of the empty classrooms due to the fact that both the library and the common room had become quite busy with all of the students studying for the end of year exams. For some reason this classroom had been left empty, which Mylo did not mind in the slightest. They had been studying for the past few hours, also preparing for their end of year exams and had finally understood a part of the theory that seemed to not want to be understood.
Mylo had accidentally left their wand back in his dorm before leaving to study, which meant that he had just focussed on the theory parts of the exam. Not that this meant that they had any less material to study, but just that he couldn't practice the spells they wanted to. Another time would have to suffice.
Deciding that he had studied enough for the day and noticing it was getting quite close to tea time they grabbed all their stuff and started to head out. Getting to the door Mylo went to open it, and it didn't budge. Trying it again it still didn't work, which was weird as they had been able to open it fine to get in in the first place. Putting everything down he tried again, pulling with their full body, but still the door wouldn't budge.
Trying not to panic Mylo started to knock on the door, knowing that people walked by and that someone would probably hear them, but not wanting to knock too loud. The first few times they knocked they heard nothing, which led to them starting to panic, taking a few breaths and trying not to spiral any further he tried again."Uhm, Hey! Can anybody open the door, I think it's stuck."

Reducio@Mylo AtkinsAfter a fruitful couple hours of studying in the Study Room on the Second Floor, River was making her way past one of the abandoned classrooms on that floor when she heard it, "Uhm, Hey! Can anybody open the door, I think it's stuck." Intrigued, River slowly made her over to the door. She couldn't quite make out the voice, so it was difficult to listen for if she recognised it. Another soft knock on the door startled River out of her musings and she reached for the brass handle. Twisting it resulted in absolutely nothing so she reached for her wand that was encased in a wand holster wrapped around her right forearm. The dark wood contrasted starkly against her pale fingers. Moving her wand in a reversed 'S' shape, River spoke the incantation to the Unlocking Charm, "Alohomora."
There was a faint 'click' noise coming from the door lock as it was opened and River twisted the handle again. This time, the door opens effortlessly to reveal a person with short, wavy blond hair and brown eyes. They were about the same height as River and had a startled look on their face as the door was swiftly opened. "Are you alright?" River asked, her soft voice taking on a slight hint of her Norwegian accent due to her slight tiredness after a long day.

Interacting with @River Luxley Date - 08/05/24 WC 221/200 Color Legend - Mylo | Thoughts Mylo was starting to worry that they wouldn't be able to get out of the room at all, they hadn't heard anyone respond to their cry for help and he couldn't help but think that there was no one there at the moment. Starting to spiral they didn't see the doorknob twisting as another student on the other side tried to open it, and he started to pace trying to stop the panic that was very close to boiling over, tapping their hands on their thighs to try and calm down didn't help either.
One thing he did hear was the sound of the door clicking, turning around right in front of the door he came face to face with another student, a look of panic still visible on his face. Knowing that now the door was open he could get out made the panic subdue ever so slightly, although it would take a bit for it to go away completely. Still tapping their thigh he answered the other student's question.
"Uhm... Yeah, yeah I'm fine. The uhm, the door locked I think and I didn't have my wand on me. I'm, I'm not sure how it locked as I didn't do that but maybe it was just faulty or something. Thanks for unlocking it." He said, still a bit nervous.ABILITIES | STATS

Thanks for unlocking it."River frowned internally at the implication that someone else had locked this person inside, possibly on purpose. Her face hadn't reflected any of her inner thoughts as she gave them a small smile, recognising the nervous tick. "That's alright." she said gently, "My name is River Luxley. Your name is Mylo Atkins, correct? I remember you from some of the shared classes."
She looked around the dusty, abandoned classroom, observing the old furniture, empty bookshelves, cracked wooden desks and the blackboard on the front wall covered in smudged chalk writings. The main oddity in the room, looking out of place among the old items, were a small stack of textbooks and notebooks, assumably Mylo's, that they must have left there while trying to unlock the door. "Were you studying in here? Why not in one of the study rooms? There's a bunch of them down the hall, they're private and quiet. Less dusty too- achoo!" River tried asking the Ravenclaw before suddenly sneezing and then coughed at the lungful of dust she had inhaled. That set her off into a long fit of coughs and sneezes as the the dust filled air tickled her nose and irritated the sensitive nerves.

Mylo was a bit confused as River introduced herself and then seemed to know them. The confusion turning into shame as he remembered some of the classes they had together, they'd been so in their head that he hadn't recognised someone he'd spent nearly a year following classes with.
"Yeah, that's me. Sorry, it took me a while to recognise you, I'm not the best with recognising faces." Mylo said as he hoped the slytherin wouldn't think of them as rude.
Still standing in the doorway Mylo noticed River looking into the classroom, seeming quite interested by the space. Following her gaze they didn't really see anything out of the ordinary, besides maybe the decently sized pile of schoolbooks that he had brought to study.
Although her question stumped Mylo, but before she could finish it she started sneezing and coughing. Giving her some space to catch her breath Mylo wasn't quite sure what to do.
"Uhm, bless you. You okay? I didn't think the dust in here was too bad. Have you got water or anything with you? If you don't you could have some of mine, I don't mind." He stated, pointing at a water bottle that was situated on the desk alongside all the books.
