Midnight at Hogwarts was much more eerie than it was during the day. The orange-yellow firelight made all sorts of creepy shadows in the corridors and what was even more terrifying, was that the castle was dead silent. The only sound that echoed quietly in the hallways was the sound of Danielle's pink Ugg slippers.

As quietly as she could, the young Ravenclaw snuck around the silent and dark castle, astronomy book clutched tightly in her arms. Ever since summer camp, where she'd been placed into the Stargazer tent, the girl had taken a special interest in the night sky. Upon her return to Hogwarts, Danielle found that the magical sky in her dorm couldn't even compare to the lovely stars she saw at camp. She yearned to see the true night sky again, not just a magical reflection- hence her little midnight expedition.

Upon reaching her destination, the blonde walked around the grounds, moving further away from the castle. Once she was satisfied with her distance away and the lack of light pollution, Danielle sat down in the damp grass, a cool breeze rustling the leaves on the nearby trees.

She put the book in her lap, taking out her wand and muttering the incantation, 'Lumos' the tip of her wand illuminating so she could open to sky map in her book. Studying the map for a couple of minutes, Danielle then moved on to read the list of commonly seen constellations in the Autumn months, such as Aquarius, Cassiopeia, Perseus, and others.

After a couple more minutes of reading, she muttered, 'Nox', the tip of her wand extinguishing its light, satisfied with the information she'd seen. Danielle finally took out her pink claw clip to lie down in the grass to look up at the beautiful night sky.

The blonde girl was captivated by the twinkling stars for what seemed like hours, the sight reminding her of sparkling diamonds. Her eyes reflected what little light was being emitted by the moon and stars as she spotted the numerous constellations she'd read about, even spotting small, purple-ish, cloudy spots that she identified as wisps of their Milky Way Galaxy.

After spending multiple hours under the sparking diamond sky, Danielle finally stood up, grabbing her wand and her book as she began the trek back to her dorm up in Ravenclaw Tower. Her eyes glanced up every couple of minutes while she was still outside, her heart and mind still captivated by the stunning sight she'd been admiring.

The girl ended up finishing the night in her dorm, sitting in the cushion pit and admiring the sight before sunrise. When sunrise finally did arrive, Danielle moved to a window in her dorm, sitting on the ledge as she watched the sunrise, falling more and more in love with the sky.
