Fated Family Reunions + a Hana
ReducioUnassuming on the outside, these dark blue tents each sit on their own private patch of ice, through which you can just barely see the rippling of currents and the silvery glint of fish underneath. The tent is quiet and still, and there's an aura of tranquility to the area that feels almost criminal to disturb. A plain wooden sign staked into the ice proclaims this as "Below the Floe Tent #52".
Upon entering the tent, quite curiously, you will see an entirely empty structure with a floor of solid ice, the only feature to break up the monotony being the staircase in the center of the room, descending down below into parts unknown. Should you choose to take the staircase, at the bottom you will find yourself in an underground cave, a sheet of clear, transparent ice protecting the occupants from the water (and the creatures that dwell within it) floating above them. Icicles line the ceiling and a small, peaceful stream floats through the center of the room. Pool chairs and hot chocolate are readily available for those who'd like to take a lazy trip up and down the river, as the current reverses twice every hour.
The eight beds on the edges of the room, just out of the water's reach, are lit softly by glowing lanterns, which are charmed to light up or go out at your instruction. The duvets and pillows are soft blues and greys, and upon lying on the beds you'll either be delighted or horrified to find that they're all waterbeds. Should you have trouble sleeping, I recommend casting your gaze to the waters above: while there might not be any sheep for you to count, there are certainly plenty of fish!

Cu Sith the Snake
How was it that a simple snake had this much influence on his decisions? He was in the midst of moving to a different state, and yet somehow he found himself being convinced by Cu Sith to attend the summer games. Apparently, she had been so deprived of her ‘cuties’ that she felt she could only be cured through physical contact. And the closest event she had was this summer camp. Therefore here he was. He didn’t think much about who he was tenting with. Perhaps in a previous year, he would have had at least some plans with others. A familiar face or a cute one- really. But this year he was like eff it. Let’s take the tent that had the least number of people. He never had to ask who exactly he was camping with. He got his hot chocolate, made them sign his name in a tent, and was like ciao with an excitable snake slithering behind him as if it was a natural instinct.
He had changed somewhat over the months. Puberty hits like a truck. But his usual style remained. Wavy shoulder-length hair, light make-up, cosy light green clothes. Hardly much difference. Except for the height change he supposed. But in all honestly, what was the point? It seemed like everyone else in the world simply decided they’d be taller than him. Most at least. 5 years of being tortured by the fact, he simply grew numb to it.
He stood in front of the dark blue tent that seemed to give off an almost tranquil vibe. As if nothing around it could disturb the peace that awaited him inside.
“CUUTEEE!!!” An all too excitable snake screeched (hissed) as she slithered into it before he could stop her. He waited a moment outside, waiting for screaming or yelping to invade his ears. When he found none, he let out a sigh of relief. At least he was the first one here. He entered the tent, taking a while to adjust to the scenery of it all. The waterlike effect the floor had. The interior was magnificent, to say the least. At least it wasn’t a carnival. Hanako was sure only crazy people signed up for that one.
He watched Cu Sith rushing each corner of the tent, getting disappointed each time she couldn’t find anyone. “ Cutie?!” She pleaded (hissed), chasing every shadow and movement she could find. Hanako ignored her and simply dropped his bag on the nearest bed and plopped his whole body down. As if he had just finished an excruciating journey. “ No one’s here yet, Cu Sith.” he reminded, bringing his one hand to support the back of his neck as he looked up to the ceiling. Bringing out his new wand from his pocket to twirl around between his fingers.
Hopefully, no one will be here, actually. Hanako hoped he lucked out and simply chose an empty tent.
To anyone who was just out of the tent, a keen eye could see a probably - terrifying - sight of a 4’9 ft (150cm) snake just lifting its head up. An intimidating stance. As if it were a bodyguard protecting the tent. But Hanako, being a Parselmouth, knew what she was actually doing.
“ Cutie…where… I find you. please… I want to see..cuties..” he heard her mumble from his bed. He didn’t bother to tell her people were unlikely to even enter the tent if she did that. The more people are terrified of her, the more he could get his long-awaited relaxing summer.

A much taller and older Enzo made his way through the grounds of the Hogwarts summer camp once more. It had been quite some time since he had shown his face here. He had decided he wanted a change of scenery before the beginning of school, and this was the best way to get out without his parents micromanaging his every move.
Plus, needless to say he had always found some form of entertainment during his visits here, and surely this time would be no exception.
Picking one of the only decent tent themes Enzo looked around in attempt to figure which one he would park himself in, but it was not long before something immediately caught his eye, and as a matter of fact also his ear. It was a sound he obviously recognized, coming from a beautiful snake he’d remembered encountering like it was yesterday, hissing and making her distress well known. Oh how she had grown! Despite the idiotic owner behind this beauty, Enzo could not help himself from being drawn towards her direction, luggage in hand, and tiny grin gracing his mouth.
”Look at you, you’ve gotten so big” Enzo found himself speaking in his native language as he addressed Cu Sith since he could not speak her language, he hoped she could sense that he understood her at least.
With that his decision was already made and he walked fully into the tent and looked for the boy that was supposed to follow the snake as he dropped his stuff. When his blue icy gaze finally landed upon his target a small coy smirk appeared in place of the earlier more sincere grin. ”Happy to see me mon cher? Didn’t forget about me did you?”

Maxi was strolling across the stadium, high-spirited, whistling wishfully as he dragged his luggage towards the campsite. Embarking on a journey across the channel was much more exhilarating this time, considering how he had been anticipating the upcoming international broom race. He liked dramatic comebacks as it was usually dictated in adventure stories - and revenge time as it was, he was far more confident today.
Yet he still had to wait for days until the race, and naturally he started securing himself a bunk for accommodation. When he stepped his foot on the British ground for the first time, he might or might not be a little biased against their tastes, but Maxi had to admit that the British wizarding school had already developed sort of a knack for hosting fine events after all these years. Eye-catchy tent themes successfully landed him in irresolution, and dark grey eyes purposefully scanned the various tents, hoping to locate some certain tent - or person, that piqued his interest. It didn’t take him long to fulfil the task - Maxi grimaced upon recognising a silhouette yonder, yet steadily made his way towards the tent the latter had just slipped into.
Below the Floe? Decent. Enzo Delcroix? Intriguing. On one hand Enzo Delcroix was family - especially when he had built a strong bond with his late grandmother by inheriting her wand - and blood was thicker than water, yet on the other hand Maxi had to say that he was probably still not getting over the idea of his newfound cousin being a meanie (honestly, it was reciprocal, but Maxi wouldn’t admit that) to him. He wasn’t sure, really, but a summer together - might change the thing (or not).
Sighing, he hastened his steps to catch up, just in case that the spots were already occupied, and the next minute he squeezed himself into the marine (submarine?) world from the door ajar. “My dearest cousin,” He adressed, announcing his arrival, merrily and affectionately in a big-brother-sort-of-voice, “how nice it is…what the - ?!”
He gasped, tone coming to a turn and stopping abruptly in awe and shock. Despite the fact that he was actually very, very into magical creatures, one could not possibly stand the view of a human-sized snake staring up at him at first sight. Maxi swallowed hard, took a minute to steady himself, and sized the snake up again. Honestly, as a (apprentice level) Non-Human Enthusiast, this snake looked fine. Could be a character in his next novella, actually. “It’s considerate of them to put a Hydra here. Very…symbolic.” He mumbled, half to Enzo and half to himself. “…hi sweetie.”
Enzo certainly wasn’t expecting his company, Maxi was pretty sure of it, and yet he himself didn’t mind much. Might be screwed up already just seeing me, he thought to himself a bit viciously. Adjusting his attention back to the blond, Maxi pulled into a fake, sweet, smile. “We’ll certainly have a great summer together, my dear cousin.” - a pause - “Do turn to me if anything goes wrong, yeah?” As said, Enzo Delcroix held a teetering role in his heart, and Maxi had somehow found great pleasure in acting out a coaxing, affectionate big brother - Enzo didn’t really seem interested in strengthening their bond, and this might be a fun way to poke him - while throwing a few mean words here as witty (or dull, perhaps, Maxi might be overconfident about his quarrelling skills) retorts.
It was when he finally discovered that a third individual - that was, if you didn’t count the seemingly very friendly snake - was in the tent, and it was absolutely insolent not to pay respects. “Well, hello.” He grinned to the stranger, switching into the much more commonly used English on this piece of land. “How do you do?” Nodding, he said. “Maximilien de Fostoncy. But please, just call me Maxi.” He eyed Enzo with tease when he announced his name, signalling something like wanna mention our cousin-ship?, which might or might not be understood by the other.
It was when an idea popped into his mind. Er…what would happen if he just go ahead and present himself as a loving and doting cousin of Enzo’s? He pictured the scene in his head, and indeed received much pleasure from it - yet after a quick eye-measuring of his distance from the other French boy, Maxi soon decided that he probably wouldn’t want to be jinxed or hexed upon his arrival at camp. Wisely, he kept his mouth shut, instead curving it into a polite smile.
