Ayumi has a pair of piercing and calculative greenish-blue eyes that would be the color of a soul, if souls have colors. She hides her emotions deep in her eyes, however, so all anyone else can see is her big innocent doe-eyes staring back at them. That let her get away with quite a few things, because others would often assume that a girl as cute as Ayumi is would be very nice, too. Of course, before she started at Hogwarts, she is mostly still a rule-abiding girl and always tries to listen to her parents as much as possible.

Ayumi also has smooth milky white skin, on which a faint blush would show when it's cold. Her baby pink lips are almost always curled up into an welcoming and friendly smile, even when she does not feel happy, in which case her smile becomes larger and more lukewarm. Those who knows her has long since learnt to stay away from her when she smiles the sweetest - she's angry. The girl has light blond hair, which is split into two and more or less neatly tied up using brown ribbon straps, with a few strands of hair falling beside her face.

She has just a little bit of muscles, and is relatively fit from the exercises her parents have her do in order to keep her healthy. As she understands the importance of a suitable body, even after she is further away from her parents' influence, she continues to exercise so that she would not fall sick easily.

Ayumi was only a baby when her first instance of magic occurred, so she did not know what exactly happened. Her parents would recount to her the incident years later, full of pride for their little girl as her instance of magic happened very early on in her life. Her parents felt that it shows that she is extremely gifted in magic.

So the story was that when Ayumi was still a baby, her parents held out a pumpkin every flavor bean to eat. As soon as little Ayumi saw the yellow and orange bean, she screamed and screamed for the sweet. Unable to put up with her pleads and shouts, Ayumi's parents finally relented and gave her the candy. Very happy now, she suddenly floated a bit above her baby carriage and kept rising until she reached the ceiling. She squealed to be let down, but could not control where she went. Her father had to get a ladder to retrieve her from her place on the ceiling. He could have used a spell, yes, but he was worried that it might hurt his little daughter, so he did it manually.

Her parents are ecstatic, however, as this means that their daughter is magical, just like them. However, even to this day, Ayumi does not know if they are happy because their daughter would not be scorned for the rest of her life, or because their reputation would be further boosted by a powerful child.
