♥♥♥"Abueeellooooo, come on," Xiomara whined as she grabbed her grandfather's hand and tried to drag the older man through the streets. She was so excited. It was almost time for school - and apparently there was some sort of Summer Camp happening before the term started that she could attend. Nerd, much? Perhaps, but she was a curious child and she could not wait to make new friends. She loved her friends back in Enniskillen, of course, but she did not know many wizards or witches outside of her own relatives.
She could hear him chuckle from behind her, "Ok, ok, I'm coming, Solita," He chuckled, calling her by a nickname that he have given her. She could not see him but she could picture him with a huge grin on his face, shaking his head at her but still speeding up as he gave in to his little ray of sunshine.
As they approached the Leaky Cauldron, she dragged him to the back where the entrance to Diagon Alley was before finally releasing his sleeve. She started to rock impatiently on her heels waiting for him to do the funky tapping thing to enter the path, since she could not remember what it was - or reach the top bricks. She had no idea what she wanted to get but she had been dragging him here whenever she could since her first visit - she loved it so much.
"So, where are we going to go today? Can I buy a new camera or a guitar or something?" She asked, looking up at him with her puppy eyes that seemed to work well on him. He smiled down at her, before tapping the side of his nose twice with his finger as though he had a secret idea for this trip. This just made her even more curious! "Teeeeellllll meeeeeeee," She whined some more but he simply chuckled and opened up the alleyway.
Watching the bricks start to move on their own always captured her attention, causing her eyes to widen in excitement. Gosh, this whole thing was far too exciting for her. She twiddled impatiently before quickly rushing in, stopping when she realised that she had no idea where her grandfather wanted to take her. Looking at him sheepishly over her shoulder as she was about to take off, she saw him shake his head with a smile on his face. He took her hand and quickly lend her, stopping outside a very colourful store. The sign read 'Weasley's Wizard Wheezes' and it looked amazing. "What's this?" She asked, wondering what exactly the store was.
He grinned, "Don't tell your abuela, she'll kill me for not bringing her too but it's a joke shop," Her entire face light up. He knew her so well! With zero hesitation, she immediately went to the door to rush in - before stopping suddenly, turning around and hugging him tightly. Once she had released him, she rushed into the store and immediately started to look around, picking up pretty much everything in sight, "What's this? What's this?" She asked as she saw the colour everywhere. There was magic in the air! Xiomara had pretty much ran away from her grandfather to start looking around, observing every single sign to see what the item was and more importantly, what it did!

What's this? What's this? There's magic everywhere!
@Xiomara Torres
Outfit: The LaRue: Lemmy's go to threads! White button up shirt, sleeves rolled to the elbows. Brown linen slacks held up by suspenders, rolled up to mid calf exposing white knee high socks. Brown and beige oxfords complete the drip.
Physical Traits: Lemmy is noticeably short, about a half foot to a foot shorter than the average 11 year old. His ears are pointed and his fingers a longer than most humans.
Today was the day! Little Lemmy LaRue had been to Diagon Alley plenty of times with his family. Whether they were restocking supplies, grabbing a nice dinner or conducting business at Gringotts, the tribe had been to this wondrous place on many different occasions, but today was something special. Today Lemmy would get his supplies for his first year at Hogwarts. There were clothes to have tailored, fine parchment and quills to procure, not to mention he would get his very first wand! Just the idea of holding it for the first time was enough to make his slightly large head threaten to explode! Today was a day that would be full of wonder and Lemmy couldn't wait to get started.
He bounced back and forth from one short leg to another at the entrance to Diagon Alley. His wand-less father would have to rely on his mother to open the entrance when they entered the alley this way, but as soon as she did Lemmy was off to the races. Excited was an understatement as his dark, beady eyes took in the sites before him. Witches, wizards and beings from all walks off life went this way and that. The colors of the magical community mixing, swirling and contrasting, leaving little Lemmy's head turning on a swivel. "My goodness, look at that!" His unusually long index finger pointed out to his parents a particularly bright shade of purple robe that a tall wizard was wearing. "Would Hogwarts permit me to wear that instead of the black ones? Oh no, surely not. Uniforms are meant to be uniform after all. Perhaps if I wrote the headmaster and begged for a change to the rule? Or maybe a suggestion of a casual day? I wonder how long they have been wearing black at Hogwarts?..." The usual ramblings of his would carry on as he scurried around his parents. They had long ago become accustomed to his rapid and often spoken aloud thoughts, but some may find it a bit overwhelming.
When his torrent of questions and curiosities reached critical velocity a steadying hand from his father, Arlo, would quiet his mind and focus on the task at hand. Robes would be the first thing to strike from the list and after his fitting it would take some time for the alterations. To keep him occupied his mother, Lilian, would send him off with his father to nearby shops for snacks. Yet as the pair exited Madam Malkin's, little Lemmy's eyes would catch a sign that nearly dropped him to his knees. Weasley's Wizard Wheezes... "Father!" He turned to him and clung to his pant legs. "Please, I must. I cannot go on another moment without it." A dramatic statement from a dramatic boy, but the galleon his grandfather had slipped into his pocket earlier that day was starting to burn an hole and there was no way he'd be able to focus on the other errands with this curiosity bouncing around his head like a pinball. His father, knowing him all too well, quickly caved and stood outside while Lemmy was sent in to explore.
"My word..." The little part-goblin's lower lip almost trembled at the site before him. "So beautiful..." The varying colors of the shop pushed his excitement to the next level. Jokes and gags filled every shelf, trinkets and doodads hung from the ceiling! It would take several moments for his brain to stop buffering, but as soon as it did he would pounce on the nearest item, quickly bouncing around a nearby girl with quite the sense of fashion. "Exploding bonbons!" Lemmy's voice nearly croaked as he picked up the package. He was familiar with the chocolatey treats, but never had he imagined that they could explode! "Baks...doae...agar..."(Best...day...ever...) The Gobbledegook slipped out of his mouth in a whisper as Lemmy began to fill his arms with various items.

♥♥♥ As she bounced around the store, she almost ran right into a very small child - and almost went flying right on top of him. Xiomara skidded to a halt abruptly, being careful to not hit the... five year old? Six year old? Maybe seven? She had no idea, he was just very small.
"What's this?!" She asked suddenly as she heard the child mention something exploding. Exploding bonbons? They were... sweets? At least, they looked like that from the packaging but she could not be sure. Maybe they were like mini stinkbombs... She had no idea. Xiomara watched him for a moment, he seemed very invested in them. He muttered something that she did not quite understand. Was it Latin? No way did the child know more Latin than she did... right? Okay, she knew basically zero Latin so even a few words would be more than she did but still, he was probably not even five!
Staring at the sign next to the Bonbons, it said that they came in bags of ten and that explosion was guaranteed. It literally said nothing else. So, it probably was not food, right? Surely not. If they were food, they would say 'sweets, safe for consumption' or something so people did not think they were dangerous! But a child was holding a package and seemed pretty... fine with it.
She very slowly poked a bag of the Exploding Bonbons with a tip of her finger, as though expecting them to instantly explode. When they didn't, Xiomara carefully picked up a bag, observing them with a proper squint on her face. She held them so gently and moved them incredibly slowly, as though they would blow up in her face if she did not. "Uh, are you meant to throw them...?" She mumbled, more to herself than the child but since she was standing right next to him, it sounded more like she was asking him. But he was like three! How was he meant to know! If she did not know, surely the two year old wouldn't have a clue!
Though, as she looked back at the small child, she did notice that he was a very well dressed child. What four year old wore those straps that went over people's chest (suspenders)?! Wasn't that like a... grandpa thing? Xiomara was pretty sure she had seen her abuelito wearing it a few times, but children? No. Though, perhaps it was meant to be one of those moments were they matched their relative or dressed up to look cute! Maybe his grandpa had brought him along today too, and they would be matching! That would be cute! He did look pretty well-dressed, especially for someone so young! "I don't think these are safe for children... Maybe you should ask your uh... guardian if you can have them...?" She suddenly stated as she looked at the child, wondering where their parent or guardian was. It had ti be his grandpa, surely! Of course, she probably should have just minded her business but what if the child got hurt and she could have prevented it! Her grandpa wasn't far but he would probably grab the bag right out of her hand if he saw it and this kid was at least half her age! His guardian would likely be horrified if he just exploded, so really, she was saving his life. Really, they should have just called her a superhero - maybe she could be like the Marvel superhero, America Chavez!
Okay, she had absolutely no concept of other people's age. She just figured that he was kind of small compared to her and the last time she was that height, she was probably yeaaaaars younger than she is right now!

What's this? What's this? There's magic everywhere!
@Xiomara Torres
Xiomara’s question snapped Lemmy’s attention away from the pile of sweets in his arms and towards the girl with the cool denim outfit. Looking her over once more his mind slipped away quickly to style and design. Lemmy wondered how he’d look with a killer jacket like that? Could he pull off the pink? His abnormally large index finger would reach out to touch the jacket in questions as his eyes bounced around their sockets. Yet just before he touched the fabric he would pull his hand away. Grandmother’s stern lessons of keeping hands to one’s self came rushing from memory to the forefront of his mind. Lemmy’s eyes would continue to search around as he tried to remember his original thought. Oh right! Bonbons!
“These, new friend, are none other than exploding bonbons!” Lemmy answered excitedly with a beaming smile on his face, but the next moment would his expression shifting to something more inquisitive. Surely any witch would know of these delightful candies! They had been a favorite of his since he was a wee lad. Only a child from another world…. “My word. Are you a Muggleborn? Where are you from? Tell me everything!” What an extraordinary opportunity that had fallen into his lap. A real life Muggleborn for him to befriend. Lemmy’s assumptions can be a tad bit strong…
Xiomara’s next question would leave the part Goblin in a fit of giggles. “No silly! You don’t throw them. They’re chocolates! For eating!” Lemmy said between chuckles. Yet again his expression would shift to one of wonder. Could you perhaps use these as projectiles? Was this an epic prank in the making? Grandpa Larluff was in for quite the surprise. Lemmy had a mischievous twinkle in his eye, but a hard blink brought him back to the present. “Look! Just like this!” With that little Lemmy would tear open the package of bonbons and toss one up into the air.
With practiced skill he would catch the sweet in his mouth and with one more beaming smile at Xiomara he would then chomp down hard on the candy. With a bit of a whoosh the coconut powder inside the bonbon would erupt from his mouth. Lemmy coughed and sputtered as his throat filled with coconutty delight. “Marvelous!” He croaked between gasps of air, his eyes streaming from the effort. After an awkward amount of time filled with him recovering from the experience had passed he would look back to Xiomara with another smile.
“Oh no, perfectly safe for children! I’ve only choked on them a few times. Simple wave of the wand really and they come unstuck like that!” Lemmy emphasized with a snap of his finger. “Though I won’t be a child for much longer! Off to London soon for summer camp and then Hogwarts in September! I’ve got my robes being fitted and my books all bought. I get my wand later today too! Oh my, I cannot wait to see what Ollivanders has in store for me. Just think of the possibilities!” The little Goblin threatened to run off on another rant, but a look back to his brand new friend made him realize that he had not made proper introductions.
“My goodness, I’ve forgotten my manners. My name is Lemmy LaRue! A pleasure to meet you!” He offered formal greeting with an extended hand covered in chocolate and coconut powder. Bless him, he tries. “Will you be attending Hogwarts this year too, new friend?”

♥♥♥ Xiomara tilted her head in clear confusion as he just stated the name of them, which she already knew because she had read the sign! Though, it told her nothing. Also, they were friends? Since when? She was a little taken back by the questions. Wait, was she a muggleborn? No, she was... squib-born? Was that a thing? Her abuela was a muggle so maybe... "N-No-I-" She started, not sure what else to say. Was she a metamorphmagus? Well, yes, her abuelo had said so but was that the same thing? Blood statuses meant very little in her family that she never really bothered to learn more or find out exactly what she was, though now she supposed that maybe she ought to have. It was strange that the six year old knew more than she did! "I guess so? No- I think I'm not? I- I don't know- my mama is a squib- Half-blood. I think-" She tried to answer the question, shaking her head constantly as she corrected herself, clearly unsure of what the correct answer was.
In her defense, she did not even know who her father was. If he was a muggle and her mum was a squib, did that make her a muggleborn? Xiomara had no idea how this whole thing worked. It seemed unnecessarily complicated. All she knew was that she was awesome, just the way she was!
"I'm from Enniskillen!" She suddenly claimed rather boldly, answering at least one of his questions, "I can't tell you everything! I don't even know you!" She continued. Should she even be talking to him? He was a stranger... But he was also a child and he seemed kind of friendly. Surely, he was harmless?
Wait - was he laughing at her?! A small pout appeared on her face for a moment as she wondered if she was being mocked but then again, he seemed so friendly that she wondered if she was overreacting! WAIT- The boy's words hit her ears. They were chocolates?! That exploded?! Xiomara's eyes widened a little before blinking as he started to cough and sputter. "Wh- Do you need help?!" She started but he seemed to be enjoying it?! The confusion was listed on her face very clearly. He had to be joking..? Nonetheless, she could not help but eye the bag as she wondered if maybe she should try one. Deciding that it was worth the risk for the purpose of knowledge - and mostly because her curiosity had gotten the better of her - Xiomara very slowly popped one into her mouth.
Her eyes widened, her reaction following the same pattern as his had. There was one difference though - her widened eyes suddenly turned pink [effect randomly rolled] as the chocolate melted in her mouth before erupting all of a sudden. Coughing a little, she waved her hand in front of her face as though that was meant to help (it didn't). "Ohmygosh- that was - woah-" She managed to get out in staggered breaths after she calmed down a little.
Luckily for her, she did not choke on the sweet. Because if she did, she had no idea what she was going to do with her wand to fix that! Wait- wait- did the boy say Hogwarts?! And camp?! And- "YOU'RE ELEVEN?" She suddenly blurted out, in shock. He had to have been right? She had read that students only got their letter on their eleventh birthday and there did not appear to be any exceptions to that rule, as far as she knew.
Her pink eyes suddenly turned purple [effect randomly rolled] as she processed this information. This was another student, about to enter into Hogwarts. Maybe she had just met a new friend! "Oh- I'm Xiomara Torres! I'm starting in September, yes!! But I'm also going to the camp this month!" She said with a toothy grin as she shook his hand, shaking it a little more than necessary in her enthusiasm. She did not really care if his hand was covered in mud, let alone the chocolate.
Xiomara's attention suddenly fell on his rather pointy ears. "Wait- what about you? Where are you from?! Are you an elf or a hobbit?!" She asked, trying to figure out what he was. A hobbit made more sense, he was rather small and seemed to enjoy food... She kind of understood Lord of the Rings, though her mother insisted that she was too young for some of the 'gruesome scenes'.

What's this? What's this? There's magic everywhere!
@Xiomara Torres
“A squib! How wonderful!” Perhaps an unusual statement from someone in the magical community, but Lemmy was taught to try and see the gift in everything. “Very rare! What a treat!” He explained excitedly. “My family does a lot of work with squibs and half-breeds and other magical races. Anyone underrepresented, whatever that means.” Lemmy shrugged as he was just quoting his elders and didn’t quite have the grasp on the intricate difficulties that faced the magical community, but he did his best to remember his teachings. “Blood status is all a bunch of rubbish anyway.” He mimicked what he had heard again, but his heart was in the right place as he hoped to put Xiomara at ease about he subject. “The only reason I asked was because you didn’t seem to know what an Exploding Bonbon was and I thought that maybe you were a Muggleborn. I’m very excited to meet one.” Little Lemmy had never met someone from the Muggle world and couldn’t wait to get started!
“Enniskillen!” Lemmy’s eyes began to bounce around again as he searched his memory for a spark of recognition. Grandpa Larluff and he always enjoyed looking over the many maps and globes that dotted the elder’s den back home. “Ireland, yeah?” He asked with dubious look in his eye. She certainly didn’t look like your traditional Irish person, but of course he knew better than to stereotype. “Of course you can tell me everything!” He put his hands on his hips in mock defiance, but his smile beamed again. “How else are we to become great friends!” Lemmy added with a giggle. “Here, I’ll start. I’m obsessed with seashells. I’ve got a collection of all shapes and sizes. You see, my house is right by the beach in Holyhead, Wales. So, Grandpa Larluff and I always go searching for unique ones. Oh my goodness! Once we even found a shark tooth and I almost died!” The boy was ranting again and surely would have spouted off about every last one of his interests and likes, but fortunately Xiomara saved them by needing an example of an Exploding Bonbon.
Little Lemmy didn’t mean to laugh at her. He surely meant it as laughing with his new friend! After his own show of suffering/enjoying his way through a bonbon he saw the spark of interest in Xiomara’s eyes. “Yes! Yes! Try one!” He encouraged his new friend and bounced from one leg to another in anticipation of her experience. However, as the bonbon burst in her mouth Lemmy would be left mouth agape as Xiomara’s widened eyes shifted from brown to bright pink. “Oh…my…goodness!” Lemmy had only seen this a couple times before, but never this up close and personal. “You’re a metamorphmagus! Aren’t you?!” He clapped his hands quickly as his excitement level threatened to go nuclear. “What a treat! Tell me of your first change! Can you change your appearance yet? Oh! Oh! Can you grow your hair at will?!” His questions came quick, but he would need to explain the safety of Exploding Bonbons first.
Lemmy’s explanation lead to Xiomara’s realization that he was not a small child, just a really short newly turned eleven year old. “Yes! I am eleven!” He matched her volume and nearly shouted himself as he made his statement in pride. His hands went to his suspenders and even gave them a little snap as he was completely oblivious to the fact that she was questioning his age and not congratulating him for it. Again Lemmy would watch in wonder as her pink eyes shifted to purple. He leaned in uncomfortably close to get a better look. A lesson he was still having trouble with…
However, the fact that they had not been properly introduced took priority and Lemmy quickly backed away and extended a hand in greeting. “Xiomara Torres.” He repeated the name a few times, enjoying the way it rolled off of his tongue. “What a lovely name. I’m guessing Hispanic in origin? Please correct me if I’m wrong. You’re going to camp too! Yes!” When she told him he pumped a fist into the air in excitement! “Oh my goodness! I already can’t wait to see you there. Who’d have known! A trip for school supplies and already a good friend!” Again, Lemmy’s assumptions were quite strong as he shook her hand enthusiastically in return, oblivious to the fact that he had just rubbed chocolate and coconut powder on her. When they eventually released hands she would look him over.
“Hey!” Again his hands found his hips as he pretended to be offended. “I am no elf and I don’t know what a hobbit is, although they sound quite fun. I like their names. Hobbit…hobbit…hobbit.” Lemmy repeated the name for fun before blinking a few times and focusing back to Xiomara. “I am actually a part-Goblin though! My grandpa Larluff is a full blooded Goblin! Can you believe that?”

Metamorphmagus: Eyes Change ♥ ♥♥♥ ♥ Outfit: Denim jacket, pink top and black leggings with pink sneakers
♥♥♥ Lemmy LaRue was quickly becoming a name that Xiomara would not forget easily. She had been blessed to be shielded from a lot of the hate that squibs received. She had actually started performing magic quite late (her first known instance coming in just before her eleventh birthday), so her family suspected that she too would be a squib and her mama would often tell her that she would be okay regardless of what happened, on the off chance that she too was a squib. But she knew that having magic was seen as 'better'. In Xiomara's eyes, it was just cooler as she would learn how to do cool stuff that she could not do without magic. Chores? No more! Just wave her wand! Okay, she had no idea how to do that yet but one day, she would!
However, Lemmy's reaction was rare. He genuinely seemed rather excited about the matter - and very knowledgeable on the matter. It was rather sweet, in all honesty. She did not know much about the hatred that other underrepresented groups got but from his words, it sounded like they were on the receiving end of unwarranted hatred too. Shaking her head, she confirmed what she said earlier, "No, no, I'm not. Abuelito is a wizard too but since him and my mama have to work a lot, I spend most of my time with abuelita, who is a muggle. My friends at school were muggles too. I thought I'd be one too," She clarified, meaning that she thought she would be a squib. Her life was pretty much raised as though she was not going to get her powers since they came so late. She attended a muggle primary school and learned how to do everything the muggle way, not really being able to rely on having powers.
"Yeah, it's a small town but we have some really beautiful views there! It's near the border but it's based in Northern Ireland," She clarified. The young boy went into a long monologue in an attempt to summarise his whole life. Was she supposed to do the same?! She did not, getting distracted by the exploding bonbon and trying that instead. But she had also visited some beaches around Ireland when she was off on her random weekend adventures. She had not collected many seashells but finding a shark tooth would have been cool! He seemed interesting, if nothing else!
Xiomara blinked at the boy, not realising that the colour of her eyes had changed. She looked down a little, trying to see if her hair or something had switched but they seemed to be rather normal. It surprised her but he had somehow figured it out. "O-oh yeah, I am," She said tucking her hair behind her ear awkwardly a little. He seemed very excited - almost as excited as she had been when she discovered that she had powers. How was she supposed to tell him that she could barely control it?! Her grandpa had tried to teach her but she had struggled, "Oh! I turned my hair blue last year by mistake. It's happened a little since then but uh, I can't really do much yet. Abuelito is really good though - he can change entirely!! I'm still learning so uh, I can't do much," She tried to explain, hoping not to crush his heart with the truth that it took literally every ounce of her concentration to control a change, no matter how minor it was.
She did not know what to say to him being eleven. It was a surprising turn of events but more than that, he was also very close. She leaned down slightly to match his height and stared at him, matching his stare as she wondered why he was looking at her so intensely. Xiomara was assuming it was some sort of staring competition or he was trying to convince her that he was eleven through his eyes?! As she had no idea that her own eyes had changed colours, she had no idea why he was staring at her. But she went along with it nonetheless.
"Yes! It is!" Xiomara grinned at the boy, happy that he could pronounce her name correctly - and recognised where it was from. She would not go as far as to say they were friends, let alone good friends but she did quite enjoy his company. He seemed sweet! Plus, he seemed very knowledgeable and she quite liked that.
Gasping, she nodded excitedly as she understood what he was saying, "Like from Gringotts?!" She asked suddenly as she registered where she had recently seen her first goblins - it was when she visited Gringotts with her grandpa on their first trip to Diagon Alley shortly after she had gotten her letter! "That's so cool! What's it like? Tell me everything!" She repeated his strategy, wanting to learn everything about him. She had no idea if Goblins had some sort of special talent but she was curious to know if so!
Now that she thought about it, maybe she ought to bring him some seashells next time she went to the beach with her family. Maybe he would like that...
"Wait so, what else should I get from here?! Is there anything else cool?" She asked as she realised that he would know what cool items existed and what the store might sell! This was a great opportunity to buy some amazing new things! Not that she had a lot of money but she could probably get one or two small things!

What's this? What's this? There's magic everywhere!
@Xiomara Torres
Lemmy was still a few years off from fully understanding what it meant for people like himself and squibs like Xiomara’s mother to not be accepted by some in the magical community. It was hard at eleven to grasp the concept of superiority and he had been blessed to come up in a family that practiced and preached tolerance. Hogwarts may prove the experience that would fully open his eyes to the issues facing their community as he would leave that bubble back home and be thrown into the melting pot with children from every walk of magical life. However, for now he was happy that he could shed a little light on Xiomara regardless of her heritage.
She confirmed again that she was not Muggleborn. A fact that made Lemmy frown for just a moment, but Xiomara was still proving to be an excellent new friend and for that he was excited. He’d meet a muggle one of these days! Bless whoever it was as the onslaught of questions would no doubt be overwhelming. “Abuelito, Abuelita.” Lemmy repeated as he somewhat butchered the pronunciation. He’d repeat it a few more times as new words were always exciting. Though he wasn’t positive he was good at deducing. “That must mean grandfather and grandmother? Though I must admit your names for them sound so much nicer. Perhaps I’ll start calling my grandparents that as well. Imagine the look on Grandpa Larluff’s face?!” The little goblin giggled at the thought before retraining his focus with a hard blink. “That’s wonderful that you have a Muggle in the family! And you have Muggle friends too! My goodness I have so many questions! Oh my! Don’t tell me! Have you been in an automobile?!”Lemmy began to wiggle in place as his excitement built again.
Xiomara would explain where she was from which led to Lemmy verbal barfing about his whole life in rapid speech. The excitement only went to critical levels when she began to display some of her Metamorphmagus abilities. “That’s amazing! I’ve only met one other.” The little boy had harassed the woman that had stayed at the boarding house whose hair was a different length and color every day. “Oh my goodness! I forgot that it runs in the family. I must met your abuelito and see for myself. What an amazing thing to be able to do. I bet you get better and better at it soon though. Grandma always says that practice makes perfect, so just keep trying. Maybe you can turn your hair pink to match your outfit. Great threads by the way! Did you make them yourself?”
Fortunately her shock to him being eleven kept that rant to a minimum and he got distracted by her name. Yet it was her turn to be excited when he told her of his Goblin heritage. “Yup! Just like the ones at Gringott’s, but there are also Goblins all over the world. Did you know that! Grandpa Larluff even knows a couple of the workers at Gringott’s. And! My family even has a vault there! Oh my! It’s so cool. There is a little cart that takes you there and it goes so fast! I’ll take you there one day if we come back to Diagon together. Oh! I’ll even teach you a few words of Gobbledegook! Oh boy! And you can teach me some more Spanish words too!” The large amounts of galleons and precious Goblin artifacts with the LaRue’s vault would leave many a witch or wizard envious, but Lemmy was a bit ignorant of wealth and status.
“Oh! This store is so wonderful. If you think Exploding Bonbons are cool, wait until you see the rest of it. C’mon!” Lemmy’s little legs took off down the aisle before even waiting for a response. As he passed different items he would call them out. “Look there! A Fanged Frisbee! They have real fangs on them and are really dangerous. Isn’t that wonderful?! Oh! Right here we have an Enchanted Snowball! It just knows who you want to hit with it and seeks them out. Absolute madness! Not quite as exciting, but you must get a set of Gobstones. Don’t worry, I’ll teach you how to play!” Lemmy bounced around the aisle as he pointed out the various treats available. “Are you going to buy something today? Oh! Can I choose it for you. Oh…wait. No. That is your choice although I am a great chooser! What do you think!?”

♥♥♥ "Yes! It does!" Xiomara suddenly exclaimed as the little boy asked if Abuelito and Abuelita were words for her grandparents. She kind of forgot that not everyone called their grandparents by the same words as she did. She laughed softly with a nod, "You should! I'm sure your abuelito would like it!"
Tilting her head, she pursed her lip in thought for a moment, "A what? Do you mean like a car or is that a train?" She asked, wondering what an automobile was. She was pretty sure it was a vehicle of some sort but it was not exactly a common word she knew. "I guess so. I've been in every type of vehicle I think! Though not the bike. Mum won't let me on her bike," She pouted as she thought of how her mama had a very cool-looking motorbike but she was, supposedly, too young to ride on the back of it. However, she had been in a car, on a train, even on a boat as they used it to cross over to England a few times in the past! She had not been on a plane that much but still, a couple of times. That was most types of transport, right?
"Yeah! I have friends! Though, I'm not sure how often I'd see them now, I guess..." Towards the end of the sentence, her voice trailed off a little in sadness as it dawned on her once more that she was leaving her old life and friends behind. She had been very excited to join the magical world, of course but that did not mean she would not miss her friends or hanging out with her family. It would be sad. However, her abuela insisted she would meet new friends at her new school and she would love it!
With a grin, she nodded, "Oh, he's uh-" She paused as she looked around. He had brought her here, so he would be around here somewhere but the shelves were taller than she was and that made it very difficult to actually see exactly where he was, "He was over there somewhere. He's probably buying something to prank my abuela," She responded with a shake of her head and a giggle as she could only imagine what he was doing. She waved towards where she had last seen him but he, likely, had moved by now. In fairness, she had been very distracted by the shop so she was not quite paying attention to where he had gone.
"Yeah, maybe. I do like pink, so I think that would be cool but yeah, not sure how long it will take. I've been practicing for some time but yeah, I'm not uh great. Maybe one day though! That would be very cool," She continued with a firm nod as they spoke about her metamorphmagus powers. Xiomara had practiced with her grandfather as soon as her powers were came out as he was very keen for her to learn but so far, it seemed very random. She would get there, eventually, though, she was sure of that. After all, for many years, they thought she would not even get an ounce of magic and yet, now, here she was!
Her eyes widened as Lemmy spoke about his own heritage, finding that topic far more interesting than her own, "There are? Where do they live?!" She asked, wondering where all of these goblins were hiding! Until recently, she had never seen one. Gringotts was her first time witnessing an entire race of beings that she did not know to exist, "Yes! Do! That sounds great! I can teach you stuff for sure!" Xiomara responded with an excited nod, keen to also learn more about this 'Gobbledegook' language that he spoke of, "Is Gobbledegook your language?" She wondered if the other goblins spoke different languages too.
Xiomara grinned widely, many teeth on display as she quickly dashed off behind her new friend. "Wh- they are dangerous?! How are they toys then?!" She asked, wondering how you would even play with them if you got stabbed by fangs every time you tried to catch it, "Omigosh, really? How does it know?!" She asked, wondering how an enchanted snowball knew who you wanted to hit. Did you have to say a name? But then how would it know whose name that was?!
"Gobstones? Like the sweets?" She asked, thinking of a muggle sweet called a 'gobstopper'. How did you play with sweets? Maybe it was a challenge to see who would eat it the fastest or how many you could eat before your opponent. Xiomara nodded, "Yeah!! You can pick for me! I have no idea what to get at all but abuelito said I could buy something," She continued, happy to have found a new friend who actually knew what all of this stuff was.
She rooted through her pocket and pulled out a gold coin, several silver ones and a few more knuts. She did not have a lot but it was enough to buy an item or two. "I have uh this much," She said as she frowned at the money. What was the currency again? It wasn't pounds and pence but she knew the gold one was worth the most - like a pound coin - and the silver were less, like a fifty or twenty pence coin but then the bronze was similar to the pennies. It totalled slightly less than two galleons.
