I Wish Pet

Leona had been able to convince her parents to bring her to Diagon Alley before school started again. She had entered the Magical Menagerie, it was a very nice place. She also had enough to buy a pet. She looked at all the pets that she could buy. Owl...maybe. Toad! No! A rat? I'm not sure. A pygmy puff? What is that? A little fluffy thing sits in a small cage. Leona had enough for all she needed for a pet and for the pet. Leona notices a cage with a brown-ish owl sitting in it. The owl looked at her and she looked at it. It was a bit small but was probably around for years old. Leona tried to think of if her family would agree to it. It was her pet she was buying. They couldn't choose for her, they just gave her one rule: No fur! Leona's grandparents are both allergic to anything with fur. She wished she could have a ferret but she knew her parents would kill her.

When Leona started to give up she went to look back at the pets again. I could get a toad...No...What is a Pygmy Puff? Do they shed? Wait a lizard! No that's too much Wizarding money. She looks at a small goldfish for a few minutes. "You're cute." She whispers. Then she turns away and goes to look at a white owl. It wasn't as cute as the other owl. Leona looked back at the small cage. I wonder how school will be this year? It's been more than a year since Leona had first gone to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. She's part of Hufflepuff one of the kindest houses at Hogwarts. She thought she had a few friends there. Still Leona wanted to surprise her friends with a new pet.

Leona stares at the cage with the brown owl in it. She walked over to it. "Hit there little one. Are you a girl or a boy?" She poked a finger at the bars. Hoo! The owl called. "Wow there." It's definitely quite mean! She stumbles back, stunned by the owl almost nipping her. Ok Leona, you will buy this owl! Now what is it? She looks around and sees a sign that says Barred Owl. "Ok then, Hi there little one."

Leona goes to grab the cage and then grabs some Owl Treats for it. You'll be sending letters. You are adorable. She walks over to the counter to buy the owl and the treats. "Hello. Would you like to buy this owl?" A kind looking woman asks."And the treats?" Leona looks at the woman and nods to her. "Yes I would like to buy this owl here." She looks at the woman and gives the woman a small smile. "That will be 11 Galleons, five Sickles and five Knuts." Leona reaches in her pocket to grab a bag of Wizarding money. Ok, 11 Galleons, 5 Sickles and 5 Knuts. "Here you are." She said to the woman as she put down the required money.

"Well little one, I'm going to name you...Sugar." Leona says to the owl as she brings the owl out of the Magical Menagerie.
