I want to be the very best that no beater ever was. To bludgeon them is my real test. Being a beater is my call. A motivational saying Tommy kept saying in his head, it had a nice jingle too it. Maybe it could be the opening to a song or something? Tommy was headed to the training pitch. In his downtime, he would get in as much practice as he could before the summer break started.

Recently, Tommy had been busy, much busier than he ever thought he would be. Planning summer camp was harder than he expected. He had a run in with a giggly plant; he decided to become a beater; he watched one of his predictions fail miserably; and surely he was forgetting other events that happened as of recent. The last month was a blur. At least now Tommy could clear his head batting bludgers which ever way he saw fit. He debated stealing some fruit for makeshift targets, but he hadn't gotten the nerves for it yet. Given the trouble he had gotten himself into recently with both professors and other students, Tommy decided it was best to try to lie low for a little.

He was training alone in the Quidditch pitch. What could go wrong? The summer weather was hot, perfect for working up a sweat. Tommy hopped on his broom, ready to fly, and released two bludgers batting them away before taking flight. One would be too simple, but Tommy felt like he had no one to impress two bludgers at once would be more than enough. He makes take a hit or two, but ultimately it would improve his reflexes. It was hard to pick a specific place to aim the bludgers due to the openness of the field. Tommy decided on the six hoops that chasers aim for, the closest thing on the field to a decent size target. Some hits went through the hoops, some missed by a little, clinging into the metal and occasionally... let's just say Tommy wished the hoop was 10 meters in another direction... Bludgers hurt when they hit but surely they would hurt a lot more when they were batted at him by another student.

So far, the training was a resounding success.
