She wanted to make a good end of the school term, a good end for her, at least. Rule breaking was a speciality of hers, something that Giselle adored. It was great fun, some risk of getting caught, which meant that it was full of excitement. It was the best feeling there could be for Giselle. Therefore, as she went out of the classroom, and into the corridors, Giselle only thought of one thing - she was free to do whatever she wanted, starting from now.
Where could I find a good place? she thought to herself. The answer then came to her immediately, and Giselle was surprised that she hadn’t thought of it earlier. The Great Lake was a lovely place to spend a day! Giselle then trotted down the stairs, two at a time.

┏ Promise walked down to the great lake, she was tired and did not want to go to class, neither did she want any homework. She could have gotton all technical and arranged to miss class becaue she was sick or whatever, but this was a way easier resuloution if you asked her. As long as she was outdoors, no proffesor would randomly see her in the corridors and get her detention, and detention wouldn't be too bad, the only problem would be what her mother would say, oh well. Her hair flew on the windy december day and it was particulary chilly out, she walked over to a tree by th lake and took a seat. But wait, was there someone else there? She was probably just seeing things, who would be out by the lake when there were classes going on? She did see someone arriving, her first instinct was to go away, she would love to avoid and possible aquantinces by a lake. She sat down instead of running away or hiding, because that would be absurd. She grabbed a book from her bag and quickly decided that reading was an option for what to be doing outside, when she should be in class, at least she'd be catching up on her studies instead of some proffesor droning on and on about some kind of boring subject. ┗ ┛

As Giselle reached the lake, she sat down and smiled as the breezy wind rushed through her, its cold air piercing her rosy cheeks. She felt good. There she was, skipping class, not needing to study for some sort of exams. It wasn’t that hogwarts education was too boring or anything, but because she wasn’t keen on listening to professors droning on one single tiny detail all lesson long, the whole hour. Sure, Giselle wasn’t trying to get a chance to not learn or anything, as some sort of boring goody-two-shoes, especially prefects, would criticise.
Remembering the latest detention she had along with a few others, called by yet another boring prefect, Giselle grumbled. That one, she thought, was a total bore. Why ruining a totally splendid food fight, an absolutely epic one, to follow the fucking rules? Ugh, worst prefect ever, Giselle sighed. Fancy having to make us clean the whole messed up great hall. Rule-follower. Bossiest person ever. Giselle thought.
Ahh, better not waste time now to think about useless things, it already happened. she reminded herself. Yup, another voice in her head replied, unless I could push her inside this lake. Smiling mischievously, Giselle looked inside the crystal-clear lake, its dark, murky waters simmering on the outside. Just as she glanced at it, it seemed to her that it looked very interesting. At that time, Giselle noticed a girl in the side of the lake, absorbed in a book.
Walking over to the girl, Giselle smiled.
Hi there! I’m Giselle, by the way, and nice to meet you!
It was always a habit of hers that she would always try to make friends with new people. Looking back in the lake, Giselle started to smile.
Anyway, I really do enjoy hogwarts life, and I love breaking rules perhaps even more. Just used a skiving snackbox to sneak out of class.
Grinning, Giselle continued, Should I jump in the lake?

┏ After reading a educational paragraph about potions, Promise heard the girl she'd seen before moving closer, Promise looked up as she approached her and introduced herself as Giselle.
"Hello, I'm Promise." She said simply, this girl seemed friendly, Promise smiled back. "I'm enjoying my time at Hogwarts as well. I wouldn't say a hobby of mine is to break rules, but I will do whats nessescary. Skiviving Snackboxes sound entertaining too." Promise said, but what she said next suprised her slightly. "Hmm... Jump in the lake? I wouldn't suggest it, it's december. Cold winter, but considering your a rule breaker..." Promise smiled, "Sure. I dare you to jump into the lake." She said, Promise was to be honest, she wasn't sure wether she would actually jump, but it was a possibilty. She watched the girl intently, then stood up and put her book down, she would be watching this. Promise would never jump into the lake, but under the right circumstances she might, Promise looked at the lake and shiverd.
Promise walked over to the lake and sat down, intently watching for Giselles next moves. She looked up at her, then the lake that Promise was suprised hadn't even frozen over yet. Giselle seemed like a friendly person, but Promise questioned wether she would actuall jump into a freezing cold lake that probably had a squid in it, and Promise might get in trouble for daring her to jump into the water, because that was totally agains Hogwarts rules.┗ ┛

You can bet that I’m a rule breaker. And sure, I will jump in, if you dare so.
Giselle, who was fearless at anything, including dares and especially things that involved troublemaking. There she grinned mischievously, and as though she was wearing a diving suit of some kind, she dived inside, holding her breath.
A second or so, her head popped back up to the surface, as she started to swim. Sure, the water was cold, but what mattered, to Giselle, was that it was fun.
Quite relaxing, she thought, even though the water is a bit too cold. Brrrr, it is.
There she motioned for Promise to jump in with her, and she hoped that one look of her face would be convincing enough.
While waiting, Giselle was just reaching the brim of the lake and getting a piece of paper, scribbling a small tick on the box that said, Students may not swim in the lake without staff supervision.
That’s just my rule breaker list, Giselle said, putting it back on the ground and making sure that it wouldn’t be stepped on. It was extremely precious to her, and it sort of looked like a treasure to Giselle’s eyes.
As she dived back in the lake, with a small plop, Giselle popped back to the surface. As Promise said that there was a giant squid inside, Giselle just replied, rather knowledgeably, laughing a little.
Actually, I’m not really scared of the squid, I think it’ll be quite … kind and helpful I think? But I’ll just watch out for the mermans.
Still grinning from ear to ear, she waved back at Promise.

┏ Giselle responded, and Promise bit her lip. Would she actually do it? She watched intently as Giselle, wearing a diving suit, dove into the freezing lake. Well, this girl is brave she thought to herself. Giselle came back up, and Promise looked at her, a bit concerned.
"I think you might catch a cold, do you want me to get you a towel or somthing?" She asked.
Giselle montioned for Promise to come in too, Promise considered it. It would be an experience, have her step outside her comfort zone, meet some people. But frowned at the thought, it wasn't that she was scared of the squid, or that it was freezing cold, but Promise did not want to get sick. Giselle swam to the side of the lake and wrote on a paper which she explained was her list of rules to break. Gislle said she wasn't afraid of the squid, grinning at Promise.
"Well, I wouldn't say I'm very scared of them either." She responded, smiling back. Giselle gave her wave. Promise grinned, and took of her robes so she was just wearing the t-shirt she'd worn underneath. She tied up her hair and said, still unsure,
"I supose I'll join you then." She gulped as she bid farewell to her health and well being, taking a leap into a lake that was probably extremely dirty, and not to mention cold, was not on her to-do list for the day. She didn't jump, but merriely slipped into the water, which was, as she expected, colder then the polar plunge in january.
"Well, here I am." She said to Gieselle.┗ ┛

Yay! Now we can have some free time at last! Giselle said happily, swimming in the lake, her head bobbing up and down. But suddenly, a thought popped on her head, and Giselle thought that it would perhaps be the best idea ever. Hey, do you wanna look for the giant squid? It would be exciting!
As she took out a few gillyweeds and showed it to Promise, she gave one of them to her. Now we can breathe underwater! Wanna start now? Without hesitation, Giselle counted, 3, 2, 1, pop it into your mouth and let’s jump in!
As she popped it into her mouth, patiently waiting for Promise, she thoughtfully chewed it, ever so slowly. A little rubbery and rough, a little hard to chew… but never mind, she mumbled. Indeed, gillyweed tasted better than she’d expected, but the texture still wasn’t perfect. Not that it mind, though, she thought, kicking her legs to make herself stay on the water.
She hoped that Promise would finish her gillyweed soon, as she glanced down at her wristwatch. It had small gold carvings on it, and some bits of wood still stuck out, as it had been passed down, father to son, mother to daughter, as every time someone moved in the family, that wristwatch would be given out. Smiling, she finished the last bit of her gillyweed, and put her head in the water.
