Letters to My Family
As the sun shone mercilessly on the glass pane in front of me, I decided to write a message to my parents. It has been more than a week since I last contacted them. Dipping my quill with ink, I slowly wrote down the things that happened in Hogwarts ever since I was sorted into Hufflepuff. The memories began fluttering around my mind like countless butterflies surrounding me. A sign of beauty.
Dear Mom and Dad,
This is my first letter! I know that you've been constantly worried about me, but no worries - I'm fine now. What about your side? Do remember to send me letters every week. I hope you're doing okay.
I've been sorted into Hufflepuff. Although it's different from Gryffindor, I still felt a sense of belongingness in the circle. I loved being able to interact with wands, chatting with new friends, and even exploring more things! After sending me to the Hogwarts Express, I was really hungry, most probably because Andre ate my breakfast (well, obviously she's been jealous at that time). Luckily, there were two friends I met that were kind enough to give me some snacks: Giselle and Brookline. They were really nice to me, and Giselle and I were in the same house while Brook was in Ravenclaw.
While inside the Hufflepuff Common Room, Giselle and I were greeted by lots of mentors and first-years, too. Emily was one of my first friends I'd made, after Giselle and Brookline. Mickie, on the other hand, was a bookworm and loved studying. I felt really fortunate to have such kind friends on my Wizarding journey.
You won't need to worry about us, Mom. We're doing fine here. One more day before the term starts, and I could finally experience what a Hogwarts student would have!
P.S. I've attached some Chocolate Frogs for Andre. Please give them to her. She'll be really excited about it.

As I folded the precious letter, I inserted some Chocolate Frogs beneath the package. I then sealed it up and sent it back to my home. I heaved a sigh of relief as I walked back to my dormitory.
