Dibyarup walks up to Lucian and asks him, “Hey, you are that second-year Duellist, right? You won that Slytherin versus Gryffindor duel, Match 8 on January 28, 2024. It was your first duel and you won! My gosh, I wish to be like you. I was also very impressed when you did those evasive manoeuvres during the duel. Really skilful!” Then he took out his wand and showed Lucian his wand grip, in hopes of receiving some tips to improve it. Then he told Lucian, “I have a list of the duelling spells that I have been studying for the past month, but I just cannot get them right, even after trying a lot.” Dibyarup was feeling as if he was not good enough to be a duellist, but he really wanted to be one. Then he told Lucian how his parents and elder siblings were all very good at duelling, and he just did not want to disappoint his family.

After telling Lucian about his motivations, he told him about his aspiration to become an Auror after graduating from Hogwarts, for which being good at duelling was essential. So he asked Lucian, “Would you be willing to guide me so that I can become a duellist like you?” After that, he jokingly added, “Once I get good with your help, maybe I will duel against you one day! Haha!” All in good spirits, of course.
