Platform 9¾
Once again I looked at the letter in my hands as if I had never held it in my hands and had read it two million times before.
My heart was still pounding as I read the words "You have been accepted to Hogwarts the School of Witchcraft and Wizardry".
I bit my lips trying to suppress an ear to ear smile.
I have recently discovered (just yesterday when I received my wand) that it is an object on which I can vent my anxiety and impatience by spinning it on my fingers.
Mom looked at me smiling holding a bag over her shoulder. "Oh I still remember the first time I got to Hogwarts, I was so excited to see what house I would be, I seriously thought I was going to be a Gryffindor." She told me. "Contrary to my expectations. I was a Ravenclaw." My aunt intervened: "Not surprising, though. She was always with her head in the book" I chuckled lightly at that, looking at the two mature women who raised me.(well maybe a mature woman and a half because my aunt was always more childish)
My father reappeared in the landscape from where he had disappeared to greet an old friend who lived nearby.
We were going to go to the platform nine and three quarters.
After walking for a few more minutes that seemed like a lifetime through Crucea Regelui Station, I arrived in front of the entrance to platform nine and three quarters.
"Okay dear," Said my mom "Pick up speed and go fast whenever you're ready." "Anytime soon" My aunt added. I nodded and picked up speed starting to push the cart that was filled with the things I needed for the next year at Hogwarts. In just a second I passed through the wall that was the "barrier" for platform nine and three quarters. There were children from several years there - both teenagers and children my age.
My heart didn't stop beating fast for a moment, on the contrary, it started beating harder when I saw the red train where most of the children were trying to enter.
Mom, Dad and Aunt Meth they appeared behind me through the wall.
"Let's hurry to catch a good train compartment."
I put my luggage on the train with the help of my father. The train was about to leave the platform in a hurry. I think I got dizzy from all the excitement. I hug my parents and aunt saying goodbye to them. I could have sworn that my mother cried when I hug her.
I was overcome with emotions when I saw her crying. Feeling how I will miss them throughout this year.
"Bye dad" I said and he nodded smiling. The moments when he smiled especially in public were very rare.
For the last time I said goodbye to them and got on the train.
