School Year In Session!
(A Note that I am not talking about Hio school years)
What this means is that if your character (as a cat) joins now, they'll be in the middle of a "school year". If you feel that it would be awkward for character development, or because you don't want your character to miss lessons, you can wait for the next "school year"
Each "year " might be different, depending on how fast people reply, so it's an unknown wait??
Hello! You might be wondering what this is... It's basically a sort of game, although it's a bit complicated so I thought it best to not put it in the game room. In this "game" you make a character and attend a School of Magic... for Kittens! You can make friends, level up, and once you graduate, you can even pursue a "career"! If you're a cat lover, you'll probably enjoy this game!
This would be a long-term thing, so make sure you really want to join before you do! It's perfectly ok if you're busy IRL and aren't very active, you can still join! (Just let me know not to mention you too much, so you won't get tons of random notifications). If you ever want to leave, it's perfectly ok. Don't feel like you really need to commit a lot of time to it once you join - it's just a game!

The equivalent to our house points, each kitten earns clan - tokens throughout the year. The clan with the most tokens gets to place one item to commemorate their win in the Tokens Room, and that token is considered The Clan- Token of the Year. Also, they get bragging rights of course

General Info
The school itself is literally called: The School of Meow-Gic. Upon arrival, you get to choose one of the three clans: Hunting, Survival, or Knowledge. Choose Carefully, because you'll be studying that for the rest of your years! The Hunting Clan focuses on hunting mainly, and how to identify different animals, how to track prey, stuff like that. They sometimes go on Hunting Trips! The Survival Clan teaches you how to survive in different environments, like the Wilderness, or sometimes, if you plan on living among Humans, how to survive and act among them. The Knowledge Clan focuses on things of the past and future. Basically anything you can learn, they'll teach. This is mostly for cats who want to teach kittens in the future.
Once a kitten chooses their clan, by tradition, they receive a welcoming letter from their Master or Mistress, and then they get the chance to meet their clan-mates while the Hunting Clan (besides the newcomers) catches food for dinner..
After dinner, the kittens line up to receive their gifts in what is called the gifting ceremony.
Each kitten gets a unique magical gift/ability, and a physical gift, which can be anything really, but usually something containing magic.
The magical ability develops as they grow older, but when they first receive it, they can't control it that well. Part of their training is to learn to control it.

Yes, not EVERY kitten can attend. The kittens who attend are usually not born with magic, but they are chosen to attend because they have the potential and talent to learn magic.

The school is not kept secret from other cats - on the contrary, it is very widely known. It it right next to one of the biggest cat villages, and students are allowed to visit the village on weekends. The school itself is located in a magical grove of trees. It's sort of like a bunch of really elegant tree houses connected by rope ladders and bridges!

Just last year, there was a wildfire. The trees in the grove are magical, and somehow didn't burn down, but the Library wasn't so lucky.. while the Library itself is fine, the books are.. not. Yet.
