Heh, I appreciate your swift response to my last letter. And you're right... We don't have Potions until next week. I checked the timetable not long after receiving your letter. Huh... I didn't realise just how few classes we actually have together.

But hey! I see that you're a Ravenclaw. And yes, that's right, I'm a Hufflepuff myself... Our Professor did seem rather fond of that fact, hehe! Naturally we probably won't see much of each other from now until our next lesson together. But I'm sure we'll run into each other during the rest of the week. I'm mostly in the library these days, if not outside in the courtyard weather permitting.

I'll keep your textbook on me in case I ever see you in passing! If ever stuck, I'll see if I can come find you at dinner either later this evening or over the next few days!

When Rose Johnson got the letter, she brought out a piece of parchment, her quill, and a ink bottle. She started scratching on the parchment with the quill.

Dear Emily,

Your welcome! Sorry about the late response to your other letter, oops! Been busy lately, with homework and trying to write letters to my family that did not work out.


Rosie thought about what to say next as she chewed on the feathery part of her eagle quill, she scribbled something down and then crossing it out. She thought carefully what she was gonna say to a girl she had never talked to. Rosie scribbled a paragraph with her quill.

Cool! I can't wait to meet you, Emily! Reading outside sounds fun if theres no bugs. Bugs are scary! And I love reading in the library, Saturday, I'll probably be in the library or outside until I get headaches reading!

Anyway, your textbook is safe in my trunk, but I'll bring it with me on Saturday in case I see you, but if I don't I bring it to you at supper on Saturday if you don't mind! You too, have a great night!


Rosie chewed her quill again as she thought if she could add any thing more. 'Maybe... Er, gosh, it's so hard to write a letter! Well, short and sweet it is!' She thought and signed her name in bigger bolder letters.
