When Mateo found out he'll, with the rest of Mahoutokoro, will be going to Hogwarts, hr was shocked, but also excited, because it'll be his first time meeting students from different schools, and it'll also be his first time at any other school as well.
He and his childhood friends were also excited for the ball, but none of them had a date, yet, but if none of them were able to find a date, or a friend from another school to go with, the group will be going together, and maybe at the ball they'll be able to make some friends.
When they arrived at Hogwarts, and once they settled in the campgrounds, after getting approval from their headmistress, Mateo and his friends decided to look around the school they'll be staying at until April 21st.
However, while walking, the group got split up, and soon Mateo was wandering around the campgrounds alone, not knowing where to go, and since he didn't have any friends yet, he decided to go and make some, but there weren't that many people roaming around, so he decided to go and find one of his friends, and maybe while he's trying to find someone he knows, perhaps someone he doesn't know will bump into him, and they could become friends.
