The Bump Closed

Seated comfortably with my friends in the Hogwarts Courtyard, I was enjoying the winter afternoon. My friends and I settled down with a blanket spreading it over our legs. Our steaming mugs of hot cocoa warmed our hands. Our laughter echoed off the stone walls as we shared stories and jokes, the vibrant atmosphere of the courtyard enveloping us. Suddenly, I felt a jolt as someone accidentally bumped into me from behind. "Sorry about that," he said, his voice carrying the sincerity of his words. "No worries," I replied, returning his smile. Despite the unexpected interruption, I couldn't help but feel a flutter of excitement at the encounter. He walked back to his friends who were chuckling in the background. "Ooohh! OhOOhhh!" they chimed in unison. I couldn't help but laugh along with them. As the laughter subsided, Alex flashed me a grin before bidding his friends farewell, the echoes of their amusement trailing behind him. We exchanged a glance and noticed a twinkle of curiosity in his eyes. Before I could say anything more, he offered a friendly nod and continued on his way with his friends, the echoes of their laughter fading into the distance. As I watched him go, a sense of intrigue lingered in the air, leaving me with a lingering smile. I returned to the comforting embrace of my friends, yet I couldn't help but wonder what he thought in the moment.
