Evening, Semptember 3rd, 2018

Marian walked into The Leaky Cauldron. "What a funny name,"she thought to herself as she walked into the store. "I'll take one regular Butterbeer, Please," said Marian politely. She walked over to an empty table an sat down. She had no friends, she had been sorted into Hufflepuff when she wanted to be in Gryffindor, and the couple of people she had owled hadn't responded yet. She wondered if she would ever make any friends. The bartender came over with the Butterbeer. She shyly handed him some of the last coins she had. Money was tight, and she was saving up for a set of gobstones. "I should've bought a small," she moaned. But when she took the first gulp of Butterbeer, it seemed to warm her from the inside. All her worries, all her sadness seemed to melt away as she swallowed the warm drink. Butterbeer had always been her favorite drink. Her mom tried to make her own at home, but none had ever warmed her like this. She felt much better. "Hey! I'm in the House that's all about friendships and loyalty. I'll find a friend soon." She took another big gulp of Butterbeer and exhaled. Hogwarts wasn't going to be too bad.

Dianna saw the Hufflepuff with her drink. How would she be able to drink all of that? She chuckled walking over to her table not wanting to look like a creep watching people. "Dianna Michi at your service." She introduced herself bowing. Her arms wife open with her signature smile. To any other person it would be seen as a smile of mischief and misfortune and her Slytherin robe didn't help at all.

"So how are you planning on drinking ALL of that?" She said emphasizing the all. She sat down her smile still on her face probably freaking the hufflepuff out. "Hey can I have a hera sundae?" She yelled over to the bartender. "No problem!" He yelled back at her with a thumbs up.
Finally get her sundae she went to pay saying. "Hey you're our regular it's on the house for you and your friend here." He grinned. "I still gonna tip you!" She said hand him a twenty.

"So what's up?" She asked the new hufflepuff.

Marian kept taking bigger and bigger gulps, feeling better each time she drank one. She peered around the pub. There was a couple Hogwarts students, cloaked witches and wizards, and a couple people she recognised as usual customers. As she was looking around, a young slytherin girl came up to her. She narrowed her eyes into slits, not knowing what to think. Slytherins are known for their cunning and, according to the sorting hat, they will use any means to acheive their ends.
The girl said "Dianna Michi at your service." Marian noticed that, when she smiled, the girl had that mischeivious glint in her eyes. At least she bowed. That was respectful. Even more so since Marian was a stranger to Dianna. At least she though so. She studied the Slytherin girl. "So how are you planning on drinking ALL of that?" the girl said. Marian scooted slighly away, probably with a scared look on her face. Dianna - if that was her name - ordered a hera sundae. "She must be a regular," Marian thought. She was, she got her sundae free. The bartender also said that Marian would get her's free, too. "Will I get, like, a refund?" Marian wondered.
"So what's up?" Dianna asked.
"I'm sorry, Do I know you?" Marian asked.

Dianna took a scoop of ice-cream before answering her. "Nope" She smirked. "And no I don't know you either. I'm not stalking you either. I was just bored and saw you sitting here by yourself." She cocked her head to the side when she heard her name being whispered. yeah isn't that her? Michi? She leaned back in her seat glaring at the sundae. "I wonder what would happen if I put a zipper on there lips?" She smiled. And went to grab her wand before stopping short. "Eh..they aren't worth it..but it would be funny right?" She asked the Hufflepuff.

She smiled again at her in a playful mood. She wondered why many people thought Slytherin were bad people. They were good if they took away the need to use everyone they meet as a pawn in there chess game. She seemed to be scaring the poor girl in front of her so she frowned. "Are you afraid or something?" She took another scoop of ice-cream than crossed her arms raising one eyebrow up. "Please don't be. It would be nice to make a friend for once." She spoke with a sigh. All signs of mischief disappeared. "So what's your name?"

The girl smirked. Typical Slytherin. Even though Marian was a Hufflepuff, she still hated Slytherin with all the loathing of a Gryffindor. Michi also said she wanted to zipper someone's lips. Marian expected that to hurt.

"No, It would not be funny, it would be painful. If you think that's funny, then you have some serious problems. I'll bet you don't even know how to do it." Marian said confidently.

The girl smiled her mischeivious grin.

"Listen, what do you want with me?" Marian asked.

Michi said she needed a friend and that Marian looked afraid.
"I'm not afraid. But I can tell why you don't have many friends. Go back to the Slytherin common room. You'll find plenty of people like you there. People who think it's funny to hurt others." Marian was angry. Why was this slytherin picking on her? What had Marian done to her?

"I'm sorry, I don't give my name to stangers." Marian cooly replied after Michi asked what her name was.

Marian did not like this girl. She went and sat down at the other end of the table, taking her butterbeer with her. Marian diddn't notice that Michi had become friendly.

First impressions, Marian thought.

"No, It would not be funny, it would be painful. If you think that's funny, then you have some serious problems. I'll bet you don't even know how to do it." The Hufflepuff said with confidence. Dianna only shrugged. "Maybe I do or maybe I don't...eh I don't." She admitted sheepishly. "Plus I was trying to hurt them." She mumbled but the other girl didn't hear her.
"I'm not afraid. But I can tell why you don't have many friends. Go back to the Slytherin common room. You'll find plenty of people like you there. People who think it's funny to hurt others."
Dianna eyes widen at her statement. All she have done was make a little zipper joke. She was hurt yes but didn't let it show. True she didn't have any friends but it wasn't because of what the Hufflepuff thought. Honestly it was the first time she had went up to someone. Any other time she would just let someone come to her.

"I'm sorry, I don't give my name to stangers." She answered Dianna's question.
Dianna watched her leave and continued to eat the sundae. She didn't understand why she didn't like her. Nor she didn't know what she wrong. "Well." She mumbled. She wondered if it was because she was a Slytherin. If it was another house who had said the same would she have reacted different? Not all Slytherin's are bad she knew that but did the Hufflepuff know?

This was hard to write because irl I'm feeling sorrry for Dianna.

Marian didn't like this girl. Marian knew that not all slytherins are evil, she had a slytherin brother. But her brother wasn't the kind who would laugh at hurting someone.

The problem One of the problemswith Slytherins was that they pretended to know more than they do to gain control. To gain power. Power is key for slytherins, Marian thought.

Marian was too angry to use her special power. Her power of knowing what someone was thinking. She already thought she knew what Michi was thinking. She didn't care to know the truth. Anyone else would have known that Marian was being rude to Dianna. But anger blinds us sometimes, and Marian was too busy seeing red to see that Dianna was upset. Marian stormed away, leaving her butterbeer at the table. Marian couldn't drink any more, anyway.

Marian walked all the way down diagon alley, looking for a place to shop where she could take her mind off the (as she thought) rude Slytherin girl. She gave up and sat on a bench, thinking. I was kinda rude, Marian admitted. She only did one mean thing. Maybe she's still there.

Marian ran back through diagon alley, making people jump out of her way saying things like "hey!" or "Watch it!" Marian scrambled to the leaky cauldron, and when she got in, stood up on a chair and scanned the room.

I'm leaving it up to you if you want Dianna to be there or not.
Boy, that was a quick change of heart, marian.

Dianna still sat at the table drowning herself in ice-cream she kept ordering. "Ah another ice-cream'" she told the bartender. "Hey kid it's unhealthy eating all this ice-cream. " he told her. She glared at him before softening her gaze. He took a step back at her intense gaze before chuckling to himself. "Sorry I just have a lot on my mind and thought if I eat all this ice-cream it'll freeze my thoughts and shatter." She joked. He shook his head smiling. "So what happened to your friend? I saw her storm off.'' Don't tell me you said a joke?" He raised his eyebrow.

Dianna smiled at him sheepishly. "Tsk Tsk Tsk." He shook his head. "Yeah yeah I know no need to remind me." Dianna have been told multiple times that her way of joking wasn't the brightest but every now and than she let it slip out. "But hey it's not everyday someone run of mad at me." She said smiling. He gave pointed look. "Look here kid you just got to learn more about the other person first so you can see how to act around them. " Dianna shook her head. "I rather have a friend who knows me than a friend who think they know me." With that she got up from the table paying the extra ice-cream she ordered. "hey!" "What where you going!" She turned to the sound from where all the commotion was coming from.

Standing on the table was the Hufflepuff that she was speaking to earlier. Why is she on a table? Oh probably for her drink. She noticed the table started to wobble a bit. "HEY YOU MIGHT WANT TO GET AN FROM THERE!" She yelled warning her. She made her way to the table SNAP! She quickly catches the falling girl than helped her up. "Hey are you okay? " concerned laced in her voice.

Marian couldn't see Dianna. As she turned her room scanner onto full power, she found herself falling. It seemed to all happened in slow motion. She could now see Dianna screaming at Marian. What was she screaming about? Dianna seemed to run over to Marian. As she hit the ground, the world went black. Marian was in a dreamlike state. She forgot who she was, where she was, and what had happened to her.

She snapped back into reality. "Hey are you okay?" Marian heard a familiar voice. She opened her eyes and saw Dianna. She wanted to jump away but then remembered that she was looking for Dianna to apologise to her.

"Dianna! I was looking for you. I - I wanted to say sorry for stereotyping you. Sorry for storming away."

The girl didn't look mean or angry. Just kind.

Marian foucused on Dianna, trying to see into her mind. It wasn't working. All she could tell was that Dianna had eaten a lot of ice cream. Maybe it wasn't about Marian seeing into Dianna's mind. It was probably how cold her hands were. Marian sat up.

The chair she had been standing on had broken. A couple people were crowding around them. Marian akwardly stood up.

"Dianna! I was looking for you. I - I wanted to say sorry for stereotyping you. Sorry for storming away." First she had a look of confusion but turned to realization. Onces the girl was up on her feet she smiled once more but looked forced since she didn't want her signature smile to make her leave. It soon failed. "O-oh its okay." She shrugged like it didn't bother her. "I was just about to leave do you want to come?" She asked hopefully but tried to not sound like it. "Also does this mean I get to know your name?" She smirked at the girl.

The crowd was still around so she sighed. "Don't you people have something better to do?"she yelled but they didn't make a move. She gave an intense glare and everyone started to leave. She looked up at the girl standing there awkwardly. "Sorry about the crowd my glare seems to always come in handy." She said proudly.
