I Believe This Belongs to You?
Trying to get up the courage to go talk to @Leon RichardsonViva walked into the Great Hall, clutching a small black bundle under her arm. She made her way slowly to the Hufflepuff table, where students where chatting and eating breakfast without a care in the world. Viva glanced over at the Slytherin table, however. Should I do it? she thought nervously, trying to spot a familiar brown-haired boy in the crowd of green and silver.
She adjusted the winter cloak under her arm, and took a deep breath. There he was. Viva took a few quick steps toward the Slytherin table before she could stop herself, and stood directly behind Leon, trying to ignore all the piercing and judgmental looks she was getting from the Slytherins. Some Slytherings were wonderful, and nice, and amazing friends, she had met quite a few wonderful people. Some, however, were not. Viva had been bullied many a time by a Slytherin. Many of the blood purists, too, knew that her mum was a muggle. How, Viva wasn't sure. What she was sure of was that their condescending looks were making her uncomfortable.
Trying to be quick, Viva reached forward and gently tapped Leon on the shoulder. "Excuse me," she said nervously. "I believe this belongs to you?" Why she was being so formal, she didn't quite know. I mean, this was the boy she had cried all over a few days ago. Blushing, she thrust the winter cloak forward, holding it out with both hands.

Leon was leaning back in his chair, merely listening to what the other Slytherins had to say about certain topics. The lot of it didn't really interest him, so he mainly focused on his food. That is, until someone spoke his name and talked about his fight with a Second year Hufflepuff named Clark.
Apparently, word gets around the school fast about his nightly activities and how he got into a fight with a second year. Not to mention he was most likely seen shoveling snow while a sixth year Gryffindor girl watched him. Leon wouldn't really answer about the fight. The kid decided to prank him, and sat on him. And so he bit him, and soon after it evolved into a fight. He would just scoff at the comment but continue to eat his food in peace.
That is, until he felt a tap on his shoulder. Looking over it, he seen Viva. He was a bit confused until she had told him about his winter cloak before giving it to him. There was something about her that made him just lose his composure. His composure being that he is a metamorphmagus and needs to learn to control his emotions so that it doesn't physically change his appearance. For some reason, he'd hoped that she didn't hear about his recent detention time along with shoveling snow without a winter cloak on. He doesn't need her to worry.
"Oh, um... Thanks. I... hope it kept you warm." He looked away, feeling somewhat embarrassed.

Trying to get up the courage to go talk to @Leon RichardsonViva waited for him to turn around, listening to the conversations going on around her. Suddenly, she heard a name that made her stiffen in horror. Clark Baird. The boy who haunted her nightmares. The one student at Hogwarts who terrified her out of her wits. Why was he being mentioned at the Slytherin table? Before she could listen to anything else, and figure out what had happened, Leon turned around and looked at her.
She blushed. "Um, yes," she said. "Thank you again, I really appreciated it." She looked into his eyes, her blue ones sparkling in the light. "I hope you didn't need it for the past few days?" The sentence seemed to turn into a question. Viva hoped Leon had been fine without his cloak, and that he hadn't needed to do anything outside in the cold winter snow for the last few days. She would have felt absolutely terrible if he had. She blinked several times, waiting for him to respond. She felt a little bad for interupting his meal, and traced her foot along a small crack in the floor. She could hear all the other students around them still eating and chatting, not a care in the world.

"You're welcome." Leon said. He didn't really know, but he felt this warm sensation in his chest. The sun seemed to hit her eyes just right to make it seem as if they were sparkling. He really couldn't help but stare in awe at her until she had asked her a question. A question that he would have rather avoided in his opinion.
"Nah. I was alright without it. Just had a boring weekend is all." A straight lie. But he couldn't imagine thinking of how she might feel if he had told her the truth. Some of the Slytherins seemed to be eavesdropping and snickered at his comment. He gritted his teeth but choosing to stay pleasant for Viva's sake. "So...." He started, rubbing the back of his neck. "You wanna hang out sometime?" Inside his head he is thinking that he is so lame. And what are the odds of a girl like her wanting to hang out with a guy like him? Wait a minute... Leon hesitated in his own thoughts. Did what did he just ask Viva?
He spent his whole life building up a wall, a tough and mischievous guy attitude. But this girl seems to tear that wall away as if it was nothing.

Being oblivious to @Leon RichardsonViva frowned, tilting her head slightly. "Oh?" she said. "I'm sorry about your boring weekend." She narrowed his eyes as he gritted his teeth. Viva was many things, and intuitive was one of them. Something was off about Leon's statement, she had a feeling he wasn't telling the whole truth. Viva was a smart girl. Very smart, in fact. She had the gift of often being able to tell when people were lying, and she was getting that sense now. By the way Leon was looking away. By the way he was muttering. By the way he was scratching his neck - a nervous tick. Determined to figure out the truth, Viva opened her mouth to say something, but stopped abruptly as Leon got words out before she did.
Blinking at the abrupt change of subject, Viva frowned again. "Hang out?" she said in puzzlement. "Sure, why not!" She bit her lip. Leon was so nice to her, he was starting to feel like the brother she had never had. Of course she would love to hang out with him! And this, you see, was Viva's mistake. She completely misunderstood Leon's intentions. Viva was a lot of things, and oblivious was one of them.

Frankly, Leon was ecstatic about her wanting to hang out with him. Though... He doesn't really know how normal people hang out. When he hung out with the people that he normally hangs out with, he's usually up to no good. But with Viva, he feels like a) she won't like it one bit, and b) he genuinely wants to get to know her more.
"Wow... Um... I didn't think that far... So... When and where would you like to meet up and hang out?" Great job Leon. He mentally wanted the facepalm himself. Stop stuttering like you can't speak! He would take a deep breath before going on, "I mean. I'm down for anything really. I'm really chill. But I mean... You already know that about me, hahaha." Stupid! Stupid! Stupid!
First it was his metamorphmagus powers going out of whack. Now Leon can't get even a proper sentence out without sounding like a troll! He was at least glad that Viva is super nice to him, probably one of the nicest person that's his age. The young Slytherin would hope that Viva had an idea of where they were going to hang out and whatnot. Because Leon is bad at making plans. So far his plans have led him to detention.

Being confused by @Leon RichardsonViva tilted her head in confusion. "Hmm?" she said with a questioning look. She wasn't quite sure what Leon meant. Did he just ask to hang out with her, only to then ask her to pick when and where? She wasn't the one who had asked... Viva was pretty sure things didn't work like that. She shrugged. "I'm not sure," she said. "Maybe we could meet by the Great Lake? That's always fun. Or the library? I don't really know," she laughed hesitantly as Leon stuttered. What was going on? Viva really didn't know.
She sighed a little, trying to block out all the noise of the Great Hall around them. "Anywhere outside would just be nice," she said slowly. "I like getting out into nature. Also, it doesn't really matter that much, just hanging out is pretty simple. So... did any of those places sound good to you? And when would you like to meet?" Viva inclined her head, blinking a few times. It was getting quite bright in the Great Hall. She would let him decide. After all, he had been the one who asked. It was only fair that he be the one to make the final choice.
