The 16th of December 2023
Late Morning
Late in the morning on the first Saturday after a rather unfortunate and dull catch at Hogsmeade, as promised, they met in the Courtyard. She wasn't present at the conversation with the boys and Professor Browne, or their parents. But she had detention to take care of.

She was expecting for just one out of three boys. The Gryffindor one, the one she was mostly disappointed as he was from her house, wasn't to come. Clark Baird, finally, for god's sake, wasn't to come as well. She didn't know details on whether their parents got him out temporarily, or they were properly expelled... Well, if he'd be, this one, Leon, would have been expelled as well, so it was something else. But he did not need to know about that.

Once the boy would arrive, she'd point at the place he should stand, and ask him to give his wand to her. She'd flick and accioed it.

"So," she started, "As you are lucky to not be expelled — which I was sad to hear — we have this whole courtyard full of snow after rather strong snowfall yesterday," she would start packing their wands in her bag, "You had so much energy, that you decided to not recover during the night, but commence a very dangerous midnight journey, and more over — getting into a fight," she'd pause remembering that it wasn't quite a fight compared to what she experienced over all the years at Hogwarts, "This very nice shovel will help you to clean all the snow without the use of magic. It's called manual labour, and it is very beneficial for your health," she would grin widely, "And this is just the beginning, we will do it today, and we'll find more snow tomorrow. All your free time is mine."

"Mr. Vexius and Mr. Baird will not join you, as they are no longer students at this school, so I was not joking about it," she predicted the question of why only Leon was serving detention.

She would point at the boundaries of the courtyard, showing the amount of the snow he needed to clean.

"You need to clean the main area and move all the snow to the sides," she continued. The level of the snow was past the boy's knees, so it was not quite possible to quickly analyse how much time it would take to clean it.

"While you're at it, I advise you to start thinking on one hundred bad things of what could have happened to you on your sweet little midnight journey," she started to move away from him towards the closest bench, "because this will be the topic of your essay that I should have by Monday," she sat on the bench and flipped open the book she was holding all this time, "So, please, grab the shovel and start — we have more than enough time until lunch."
What you need to do
1. Write at least three posts (can be more), with 200 WC minimum.
2. Posts can be consecutive: you do not have to wait for a reply from me.
3. You cannot make or join new RP threads until detention is complete. I will be checking it after this detention is served. Threads that were created before the detention thread was created can be continued as normal.

The OOC part of this detention is just clearing the snow on Saturday. The IC part will include Sunday as well + writing the essay as I mentioned. You do not need to the IC part, it's just for flavour.

Leon would groan as he would make his way to the courtyard late in the morning. It was a tad bit cold, but he was otherwise used to the weather. Good thing too since he had forgotten to get back his Winter cloak from a girl that he let borrow so that she can warm up. Yeah, Leon can be a bit hard headed and yeah, he will fight someone. But he's got a more gentle side when it comes to talking with girls. There was something about that Hufflepuff girl that made him just drop his guard entirely around her. His guard being that he had to control his emotions so that he doesn't accidentally change his physical features.

The young Slytherin would put his hands into his pockets after he had given the older girl his wand and listened to her talk. Okay so maybe it was a bad idea to go out at night. But the fight? It wouldn't have happened if that Clark kid didn't decide to act all high and mighty to him. And then that other kid decided to back Clark. Seriously, Leon was about to get jumped. In his mind, it was all about self defense. Listening to the older girl talk just got Leon a tad bit mad. Yes, he respects girls, but the way she was talking he really wanted to say some harsh words. But in the end, he knew it would be in vain. Something to be used back at him for more detention. And for once, he didn't even bother trying to hide his powers. His hair would turn red like a fire.

Her talking about manual labor... Part of him wanted to laugh at her. Leon being the oldest child in the family with having both a witch and a muggle father. He grew up knowing about muggle life before getting too much into the magical world. But the next part caught him off guard. Clark and the rude Gryffindor got expelled? He wondered why he was the only one here, but that explains it.

His hair and horns would remain the same as he listened to her go on about the extent of his detention. Finally, he would speak, "Aight." Keeping it rather short and to the point through gritted teeth as he would grab the shovel. He would work in silence as he would shovel the snow out of all walkways and into areas where there was a previous attempt to pack snow. With this, Leon shoveled snow until the older Gryffindor girl would tell him that was enough for the day.

-----------------------------------------------------

The next day totaled to more snow to shovel. Leon would stay quiet as he worked. There isn't really much to note really. Today his appearance is normal. That is, unless if the older girl starts to talk to him, in which case his hair would turn red before slowly going back to normal after a little bit of time has passed.

He kind of regrets forgetting that he had given his winter cloak to the Hufflepuff girl. But he pushed the thought out of his mind as he continued to work. Snow isn't going to shovel itself. He was in his normal cloak, so it kind of helps. And this manual labor really is making him work up a sweat. Leon was built a little bit more on the brawny side, so doing this isn't too bad, but as time passes, his arms are getting a bit sore.

The young Slytherin would ignore the soreness as he would continue to work throughout the day. Today, he was more passive than yesterday, so he really focused on not being lost in his anger, which would in the end, make him over exert himself. This time, he worked methodically to get the job done.

-----------------------------------------------------

Later that night, he sat down at a desk in the Slytherin Dormitory with a quill in hand to start his essay. He thought about what that girl said. Techinically, she didn't say anything about the fight being part of the essay. However, the safety was thrown out the window, that Leon would admit. And to go out at night as a kid is dangerous. No matter how invincible he may think he is.

He would sigh as he started writing down his essay. He reminded himself that would need an introduction, roughly three paragraphs of why or how dangerous it was, and an ending paragraph. Leon is a smart student, just someone that doesn't really apply himself as he should be. And he knows that they won't accept a half made essay that is lazily written.

Starting on the introduction. It is really the make or break of an essay. He started it out with the why he was writing this essay. Because of his own recklessness to ignore the rules and go out at night. After that he would go into detail of how he was in the wrong and won't do it again. And after that, he would name off some of the bad things that could have happened when he went out on his own at night. He chose three things that stand out. One, he could have gotten lost and not find his way back. Two, someone could have kidnapped him. And three, some magical creature could have seen him as food and attacked him. He made a paragraph for each one and went into detail for each one of how it was bad and could lead to serious issues. He would finish the essay with the ending, closing with he will never go out at night again and will do his best to be a better student. It would be late at night when he finally finished the essay. He would give the essay to the Gryffindor girl the next morning and wait by to see what she says.
