♡♡♡♡♡♡Gaah! I am so sorry this took me like several years!Quinn yawned then shot up. Today was saint Patricks day! The day of the Irish. Quinn missed Irish dancing but she couldn't wait to just randomly dance down the hallways just cause today. Because today is saint patricks day! Quinn thought. She scrambled out of bed and grabbed her Irish shirt and a pair of jeans. Quinn slipped on her Irish socks, tied up her sneakers, and did her hair. Satisfied, she grabbed her bag and headed down the stairs of her common room.
The great hall wasn't quite festive but the some of the halls had some clovers on them. Quinn stepped into the great hall and looked around. There was a fair amount of green which meant they wern't planning to get pinched. Quinn started moving towards the Ravenclaw table then glanced up to look at the weather. Maybe she could rally a few kids into dancing outside with her. Quinn saw that the weather appeared to be fine for now but it looked a little windy. Quinn shrugged then felt her self collide with someone. Quinn sprawled on the floor before looking next to her. The other girl has also gotten flung onto the floor. A girl who looked sort of familiar.
"Oh my gosh! Matilde-Tilly I am so sorry." Quinn exclaimed. She felt a little guily as she had promised to see the girl a little over a month ago and she still hadn't met up. She held her hand out to help her get up.
"Geez, I'm sorry, I guess I should look were I am going."

When Matilde woke up, it was still mostly dark. She opened her eyes groggily, wondering for a minute why she had awoken so early. Then she remembered- it was St. Patrick’s day! Her excitement was quickly diminished when she recalled the circumstances of the holiday this year. It just wouldn’t be the same at Hogwarts. No dancing in the parade, no performing in the various shows her Irish dance school always put on around Galway.
As it was too early for breakfast, Matilde decided to read in bed for a while. It quickly cheered her up, and by the time some of the other Hufflepuffs in her dorm were rising, she decided that she was being too dramatic, as usual. She couldn’t let homesickness ruin St. Patrick’s day, too!
She quickly dressed in a green sweater, made with wool from her sheep, and brown cargo pants. She tied her hair in a green ribbon. Then she skipped down to breakfast.
Matilde was so lost in her own world that she actually crashed into someone. Suddenly they were both on the floor. For a second she just sat there, stunned. Then she noticed that the girl who she’d all but knocked over was Quinn.
“Oh my gosh! Matilde-Tilly I am so sorry." Quinn offered Matilde her hand. "Geez, I'm sorry, I guess I should look were I am going." She continued.
“Do-don’t worry about it, I wasn’t looking either,” Matilde said, recovering from her surprise. She hadn’t talked to Quinn since the errand a little over a month ago. Though she had been a little disappointed that they still hadn’t had a chance to meet, now could be the perfect time to talk. Then she remembered that Quinn was also Irish. How funny to run into her today- quite literally! Matilde grinned at the Ravenclaw. “Happy St. Patrick’s day!”

♡♡♡♡♡♡Quinn smiled at Tilly as she helped her up.
"Well happy St. Patrick's day to you too!" Quinn said happily to Tilly. Quinn looked Tilly up and down before proclaiming,
"I like your outfit Tilly, very green. It looks like I won't have to pinch you." Quinn giggled then looked around.
"Do you mind if I sit with you today? At the Hufflepuff table? I hope the other Hufflepuff's don't mind." Quinn asked Matilde. Quinn wondered why she hadn't talked to Tilly in a while. She was certainly very nice.
"I Irish dance so it's too bad I don't have any performances today." Quinn commented. I hope that she understands. Irish dancing is super fun, maybe I can teach her some to get her in the spirit of the Irish. Quinn thought. Maybe that would cheer herself up a little. Quinn smiled at Tilly and looked over and the Hufflepuff table. They seemed to be a nice bunch so they probably would notice if she sat down with them. It wasn't as if she knew every Ravenclaw so the huffelpuffs couldn't possibly know all of each other and she wasn't wearing a Ravenclaw thing. Quinn looked back at Tilly, waiting for her responce.

“Thank you! I like your outfit too. It looks like neither of us will have to worry about that today,” she said, admiring the girl’s sweater, which, appropriately, was bright green and read ‘shenanigans coordinator.’
“Oh yes of course you can sit with me!” Matilde replied, happy to have someone to celebrate with. “I’m sure they won’t mind, and yeah, probably won’t even notice.” Even if they did, the Hufflepuffs did generally live up to their reportedly kind nature. Matilde didn’t think there was any rule that specifically said they had to sit with their housemates all the time.
Then Quinn mentioned that she did Irish dance. “Wait, you do Irish dance?!” Matilde exclaimed, a little surprised. “So do I! I was just thinking the same thing, it’s one of my favorite things about this day. I was wondering if anyone else at Hogwarts danced. I don't get the feeling it’s too common amongst wizards. I do it because of my dad, he’s a muggle. He’s also my teacher, well, he and my aunt.”
“Here, we can sit,” she said, and led Quinn over to her table. Matilde began to load up her plate. Only then did she realize how hungry she was.
