Delphine strolls along the sidewalk of Diagon Alley, having saved up a bit of money and hoping to buy something she wouldn't regret. When she caught sight of the cutest animals she had ever seen just a window away. Delphine entered the Magical Menagerie, immediately crossing the store to the beautiful owls she had seen from outside.

"Hi cutie." She said quietly, resting her hand on the owls cage. "Eastern Screech Owl." Delphine spoke, whispering just to test how the words felt under her breath. She took her hand away from the cage after noticing the price. "Sorry." And she walked to the other animals. Delphine saw lots of critters, all ranging in color, size, species, and noise. The snakes hissed and slithered as she passed, the rats ate and hid, the toads inflated their double chins (or whatever they do, Delphine doesn't know) and croaked! As she passed one, she waved with a finger at it, thinking "Hello Trevor." with a smile.

"You looking to buy one today?" The man at the counter said as he put on display various pet related items such as one Delphine caught sight of, "Rat Tonic". "I'm definitely not getting a rat." She thought, and scooted away from the cages of rats that had been behind her.

"Yes, but i'm having trouble. Have you got any cats?" Delphine smiled hopefully, she knew they had lots of animals, but if they didn't hold dogs then why would they hold cats?

"Just over here." The man guided her to the other side of the store, limping a little Delphine noticed.

They walked and walked, the man stopping every so often to tend to a different critter. Delphine didn't mind waiting but surely that could've been post-poned for after she got a furry friend. They reached the cats and Delphine beamed. They were the cutest things she had every seen. Yes, she has a perfectly adorable cat named Cleo at home, but come on! These were like extraterrestrials that had been enhanced to look like cats, but landed 100% cuter.

"Blimey.." Delphine knew she couldn't pick. But she had a budget and she would stick to it. She stuck her hand in the pocket of her robe and felt around for the money. Delphine pulled out what she had and held it out on the palm of her hand to the man with a smile.

"I've only got this. Will you help me find one i can afford? Any of these will do."

The man unlocked a cage and cradled a small Silver Mackerel Tabby.

"This should do."

Delphine took it in her arms and spoke softly, "My favorite plant is the Mimbulus Mimbletonia. Your name will be Mimble."
