Going Up? Closed

Emily had a bit of time to kill before her first class. She took it upon herself to get to know the building a bit more. Remembering where the Hufflepuff Common Room and dorms were was easy enough, being on the first floor and all, but she still had a plethora of classrooms to remember, and the castle wasn't exactly on the small scale to make for easy mental notes.

Logically, she started from the ground floor. She was already well acquainted with her new safe spot, the library. She bypassed it quickly before ascending the stairs to the second floor. Once she got a glimpse of the study rooms and classrooms, she kept going upwards, making quick mental directions for each class. With the waves of students along the staircase, she only had a few minutes on each floor before she'd be unquestionably swept along to the next one.

She marvelled at the intricate paintings that watched her from along the walls while listening to the echoing clacks of shoes along the stairs. By the time she discovered the astronomy tower at the top, she still had thirty minutes left before she'd have to go back down again.

She peeked through the window and all words escaped her as the view took all her breath away. Feeling more at peace, she stood and stared out into the cloudy landscape. She couldn't deny it... it was a killer view.
