Thoughts: italicsKaitlyn quietly hummed to herself as she glided down the aisles and aisles of books in the Hogwarts library. Other than the Slytherin Common Room, she honestly felt the most at home around the kilometers high of dusty old tomes. She loved the smell the books gave off, as they rested on the shelves, hoping to be eventually picked up by a new set of hands. For most books, that would not be her set of slender hands. No, she was on a mission to find a specific book.
Neatly twirling, Kaitlyn continued to glide, until she stopped in front of the Herbology section. Almost robotic, she found the Herbology book she wanted. Leaping and gliding back through the shelves, she stopped at her favorite table, already adorned with her crazily organized structure. Exactly five sheets of almost blank parchment paper were surrounded by two quills, an ink well, and a small bottle of black ink. In the bottom right-hand corner was a small picture of a leaf, drawn with an eye for neatness. Next to it sat a folder with Herbology notes.
With a happy sigh, Kaitlyn sat down on her indicated chair, fixing her skirt, as she moved. She crossed her legs, and opened the book up to the bouncing bulbs section. With a smile, she picked up a quill, gently wet it with ink, and began to work on her set of highly organized notes. Her penmanship was in a neat cursive handwriting.Reducio

Katherine had been excited to go to the Hogwarts library. She loved to read and was excited to see all of the new books she had never gotten to experience before. She hummed as she wandered through the library, pulling books off of the shelves, opening and reading small passages from them, and putting them back onto the shelf.
She bit her lip as she grabbed a book about Hogwarts off of the shelf and opened it, “Hogwarts: A History”. The book looked interesting to her, she wanted to learn more about the school she was going to be going to for the next 7 years. The book talked about who founded Hogwarts and explained about the different blood statuses. It talked about why muggleborns hadn’t always been wanted at the school.
She smiled as she took the book with her and went to find a seat in the library. The library was mostly full but there was one side of an open table that she noticed. She went and sat her book down in front of the chair and pulled the chair out, scooting towards the table as she got comfortable. She looked up at the girl across from her as she smiled. It was another girl who she was pretty sure was in her year.

Thoughts: italicsKaitlyn smiled as she worked. Her quill worked in neat, smooth motions to give her script a clean look. She dotted her ‘i’s with little hearts. While this was part of her homework assignment, she had a habit of including her homework in her revisions. At least once, before she had to turn in her homework, so she would get the full picture from her assignments. Sadly, she couldn’t use her coded parchment pages for her homework. So, she had to use her regular, normal sheets of parchment paper.
As she flipped a page, Kaitlyn noticed, out of the corner of her eye, a girl sitting across from her. She was smiling at her. Kaitlyn gave her a shy smile and a small cute wave. “H-hi,” she greeted her. ‘I think she may be a first-year, like me. She looks familiar,’ she thought. She would have been perfectly fine working in silence with this girl across from her. But, she wasn’t aware if this girl would like to work in silence, especially since she smiled to her. Giving a shy, but hopefully friendly, smile again, she looked up from her homework. “Um, a-are y-you p-planning o-on w-working o-on h-homework, t-too?” She asked, stammering the whole time.Reducio
