Learning to Levitate
Anthony walked through the wooden door and into the classroom, he had noticed that the doors to the classrooms were significantly smaller than the ones leading to the great hall. He didn't know why he noticed such things but found it interesting for some reason. Charms class was one of his first classes of the day and this was the class he was most excited for. Today's class was going to be a particularly interesting one, they were going to learn a spell that he was sure any witch/wizard wanted to learn. The Levitation Charm.
He had no intention of failing this charm, so he grabbed his textbook and set it down on his desk. He then pulled out his wand, concentrating his energy on the textbook. He had the strange feeling he was being watched but quickly shook that feeling away. He was for some reason confident again that he would succeed, this then created a confliction of feelings different from what he was used to. He tried to shake this feeling away, but his attempts were in vain. Even so, he tried the spell, focusing and annunciating every word, every letter, every syllable, as best as he could. "Wingardiam LeviosAAA." He caught himself cringing at the over annunciation of the last letter, he felt a disappointment in himself.
However, he noticed something quite interesting, interesting indeed. Usually when he cast a spell he felt a unique feeling, a surge of some kind filling his body and then traveling to his hand before the spell was cast. This time, although mispronouncing the incantation, he also felt the surge, but his notebook wasn't floating. This was an interesting development that he had never experienced before, the magic definitely released, but if it didn't affect the book then what did it affect. He was extremely curious about this phenomenon, and he would soon find his answer.
He then heard the commotion of a female student who sat close to him, he looked over to find her...Floating?! "Well, i know where the magic went," he thought to himself. He knew that his wand was a wild and powerful one, and he was up to the challenge when he accepted it, but this was a more major instance of the wildness of magic. He had known that this would be an interesting class, but didn't think things would end up like this...
