Finished  Never Really Good At Goodbyes
September 1st, 2023

As Anthony had gathered all of his books, clothes, and equipment, he smiled with pride as he prepared to set off on a new adventure. He had hopes, dreams, and ambitions to seek out knowledge and make his mark. He carried his suitcase in his arms and looked at his parents, both of which who were smiling and his mother almost in tears. Wiping her tears from her eyes, she knelt down and spoke in her soft and kind voice, "Congratulations, me and your father just want you to know how proud we are for you to be going to Hogwarts." Pride then began to fill up within Anthony and he couldn't help but tear up a bit too. "I know," he replied, "I promise that I will make the both of you proud." "We know you will," his mother responded back.

Suddenly, the sound of a train horn was heard in the distance. As the train approached, Anthony was filled with an excitement that he had not felt before. Perhaps it was a sign of a new beginning. "Here it comes," Anthony's father said as the train came to a stop. The cart doors opened and the conductor yelled, "All aboard!" Anthony immediately picked up his stuff, gave his parents one last hug goodbye. "I'll see you guys on holiday." He said to his parents before rushing onto the train.

As the train left the station, Anthony's mother leant next to his father. "He seems more confident now," she said to him. "I've noticed too, it's subtle. But he is definitely more confident than before. He'll do well." he responded, "Even with that confidence though, he is still not really good at goodbyes." Anthony's mother chuckled...
