With the snow lightly falling from the sky and clouds drifting above, Argahlon knew the only way to get better was to practice. This would mean the young Gryffindor would gather the gear he needed for such training, then he’d leave the common room, and head for the castle’s exit. This was no easy process, as Arg would have to face the winding staircase, along with the usual conversation with the portraits on the way down. One way or another, Argahlon had eventually made it outside from the castle, and started heading straight for the Quidditch Pitch.
As the young Gryffindor finally made their way to the Quidditch Pitch, he looked up at the enormous structure with a slight smile forming. It was always a pleasure to be a part of something that everyone seemed to hold so high when it came to sports at Hogwarts. Even being the second string Seeker was a bit of a shock to him, but that was something that would ultimately motivate Argahlon to train hard, and play even harder. Lucky for him, Arg had parents that taught him hard work pays off.
When he finally entered the pitch and glanced around to see that the field was empty for the time being, he began to take in the moment with a long breath. "Bloody hell, this is awesome!" Arg mumbled, while gripping their broom tightly and getting to a knee. The young boy began to examine the broom to make sure there was nothing wrong with it, that way he would be able to fly without worrying if the broom would malfunction in mid-flight. Scary thought, but that is something that happens to a lot of inexperienced riders.

Quidditch - a hobby that Haley had been into for a few years now and would continue to do for many more, hopefully. The season had only just started again and was as brutal as the ones before. The players on the other teams were good, which is not to say that her own team wasn't. But the little perfectionist in her challenged her to improve her skills. She wasn't a bad player, she felt comfortable on the broom and always did her best, but sometimes that wasn't enough. That's why Haley always put extra Qudditch practice hours into her week, if she could manage it with her study schedule, essays, normal practice and social interactions if possible. But today was one of those days. On the way to the training field, the snow stained her red hair, which she had tied in a high plait, but the cold didn't bother her.

As she walked onto the field with her broom, she noticed that she was not alone. From a distance, she could make out the back of a person and she became curious as to who it might be. She walked across the field and just before she reached the person, she heard his voice and had to smirk. "That feeling will never change." She could still remember her first year, how excited she was about all of this. That hadn't changed to this day. She climbed onto the broom and pushed off hard from the ground. She didn't want to bother him any more at first and decided to warm up by flying a few laps. After she had warmed up a bit, she went into speed flights and maneuvers before landing back on the field and paying a bit more attention to the boy.
She remembered the face, he had recently joined the Gryffindor Qudditch team, second string seaker. The two hadn't really had time to communicate, let alone get to know each other. She was here to train today, but she didn't want to be rude, they were on a team after all. And surely he was here to train too, maybe they could just do it together. Or not, she didn't care. "Oi, you're...Argahlon, right? Sorry I didn't recognize you before. I'm Haley. Haley Rose, Chaser of the lions."

Argahlon was not one with many friends at all. In fact, the only person he trusted at the moment was Wren Mornstern. She was the one who understood the young Gryffindor the most and accepted him for the person he was, flaws and all. The fact that Argahlon was now on the Gryffindor’s Quidditch team, it would only mean that he would be forced to meet others, and that time came sooner than he would have liked.
As the snow continued to fall and the duo standing in the middle of the Quidditch Training Pitch, it seemed as if tensions would begin to tighten. Part of Argahlon felt bad but then again, he was not there to impress anyone, nor was he there to make friends. In the end, it was all about doing well in classes and following the footsteps of their father, but who knew what else would be in store for the young boy during their journey at Hogwarts.

It seemed that Argahlon, who was still rather unknown to her, was not particularly enthusiastic about meeting his teammates. Maybe it was just because of her, or maybe he just wanted to be left alone. Whatever it was, Haley hadn't expected this snarky tone. Nevertheless, she stood her ground, she wouldn't let it get to her and, above all, she wouldn't get into an unnecessary discussion with him. She suppressed a grin and an eye roll, but raised one eyebrow. "Well, just wanted to train a bit." Normally, she would have asked if they might want to do it together. They were on a quidditch team, after all, and Haley herself had taken every opportunity since she'd started playing herself to train with other experienced players. But that was how she was, which didn't mean that everyone else was like that.

Above all, she didn't want a bad start with him, as they would be playing together on the field in the future, so she just accepted it and accepted the reasons she had made up in her head, knowing that she didn't know if it was true or not. Whatever, enough headaches for Haley, she couldn't afford that if she wanted to have half a good workout now. And before she was sprinkled further by the snow, she looked back down at the broom in her hand and reminded herself what she was actually doing here. Now in a somewhat tense mood, she lifted her broom slightly. "Well, I guess I'll get on with that now." she added with a quick glance at her broom and took a few steps in the other direction. After all, the field was big enough for more than just two people to train here.
After she had taken a few steps, she turned around again. She was in no position to judge him on the basis of eight words he had exchanged with her. She would offer her help to anyone else, and so she did now. "IF you have any questions or want to end up training together, don't be afraid to ask me." She didn't expect a positive answer, but she still wanted to offer. She remembered her first years at Hogwarts and had always been grateful for it. And so she wanted to pass it on to the students after her and offer her help. After making the offer, she turned around after a few seconds and went back to the plan she had in mind.
