Meluna had gone in search of the trolley to hopefully decide on something to eat after her conversation with Gracie Abrams. The idea of a friendship expected to blossom when Gracie and Meluna had already had their spouts meant it could be a long school year. Perhaps her father wouldn't hear or ask about it. She could pretend, sure, but what was a lie to an Auor? She couldn't sneek candy without her father having said something from somewhere in the house, as though he would be watching her with eyes in the back of his head.

She couldn't find the trolley after what felt like forever. She was too shy and embarassed to ask for help. Rather, she would return to her seat where she had been sitting with Elisa the first time she had gotten on the train. The day had dimmed to evening so she suspected she ought to change into robes soon. She hugged herself at the thought of wearing a robe. She hadn't been a girl to wear long coats, the robes to her looked so foreign to her. Despite the fact that she wouldn't be the only kid wearing one, she still felt...odd. Seeing more magic on the train than she would have guessed including the world outside. She sighed. She thought this time the door she stopped at was the right one. She setting sun let off a terrible glare.

When she opened the door, she felt heat in her cheeks. The short blonde girl definitely wasn't Elisa. "Sorry...I have the wrong...room I think." Because "room" was all she could think of for lack of understanding what the separate seat areas were actually called.

Ryann at first didn’t completely processed that she said something reading her book. Her cool green eyes were fixed on the words on the page, she realized someone was there after about one minute, she gently closed the book then looked up smiling. "oh... sorry its fine, it’s just me after all, you can sit here if you want" Ryann said putting a bit of her short hair behind her ear and smiles a bit nervous actually, she didn’t want to screw this up for anything she was actually very shy and scooted over just in case putting away her book. And looked up
“um….. do you want anything to eat or drink?” she asks holding up a bag filled to the brim with snacks if different variety there were also some veggies she put it beside her and stood up walking over drumming her fingers on her leg with an awkward smile, hoping she was making a good impression on her she blushed at how awkward this is and chuckles slightly fiddling with the end of her robe sleeve, showing she was nervos and took a deep breath to calm down and gave a calm kind smile showing she was calmer.

Meluna hesitated in the doorway before accepting the girls invitation. "I suppose sitting here wouldn't be so bad." She was tired and hungry. The offer for food to be given to her, especially free was something she wouldn't turn down. "Thanks. It's American, right? Not magical kabab sandwich thing, right?" She said, taking the bag from the girl. She paused suddenly and met the other girls eyes. "Sorry, it's been a long day. Magic is sort of something I'm coming to terms with." Not that she was completely clueless. The names of things made her uneasy to eat anything when the trolley had passed earlier. "I'm Meluna by the way." She said, wanting to get that out of the way since twice had been enough for her already. She also wanted to cover the embarrassment of not being able to navigate this damn train. It was overwhelming for sure.

She hadn't considered much. She didn't share the boundless excitement others did. She had gone through that when she had gotten her letter in the mail and then her mother wrote her on the disapproval of her coming to Hogwarts. It hadn't stopped her father from sending her, but she still felt like an alien in the world she didn't grow up in like other kids did. Father had reassured her that others would come from similar backgrounds, but she still felt the sting of leaving home.

"Ryann!, and it’s alright its only chips, crackers and pretzels I also have sandwiches, my siblings made me take a few things with me because there protective....." she chuckles and sits up and smiles brightly sitting up "it’s there last year here or 7th year... I don’t remember... but there by guardians now and i love them there both 18" she chuckles and grins looking at her drinking some water she felt nervous mentioning that for some reason and smiles, she wasn’t sure what she should mention and what she shouldn’t she never really had friends only bully’s. she was scared. "anyway what do you think of it all?" she asks kindly drumming her fingers on her leg wondering what she thought of everything going on and happening it was sure a fast and confusing time for a ton of people, she was confused to, she looked at the girl with light kind eyes fiddling with her fingers nervously but ready to pay attention to what he girl has to say, she wanted a new friend and she saw a hopeful one in front of her, she calmed down a bit and closed her eyes slowly to calm down and opened them when she felt way calmer and able to listen intently.

Meluna was glad to see food she recognized. She chose a bag of ranch doritos and one of the sandwiches. "Thank you." She said, tossing a chip in her mouth after opening the bag. She was Two mouthfuls into her sandwich before Meluna realized she'd said something else. The sandwich was tuna, one of her favorites. It reminded her of home. "Thanks so much. It's good. Tuna is my favorite." She tried not to speak with her mouth full...but she was so hungry. "I haven't eaten much. Father said we would expect a great feast when we got to the castle but...who knows what type of food that would be?" She had been thinking of too many movies again. Food in Hogwarts might not be as foreign as she made it sound but she wasn't about to get her hopes up. "What about you? Are you hungry?" She didn't want to be rude. This girl barely knew Meluna and she was sharing her food with her. Galleons, Magic walls...what else would she see? This new world was strange. Earlier she had heard squeals over a Pegasus sighting and she missed it. Meluna put her sandwich down next to her, careful to put it on the wrapping it came from so as to not ruin the nice seats they sat on.

"Mmm actually yeah!" she says as she grabs a sandwich, Cheetos, and a Sprite. After taking a bite of the sandwich, she offers to share some food in case you get hungry later. "My siblings always get me more by the end of the week, and I don't need that many..." she chuckles and adjusts her sitting position to continue talking. "By the way, what's your favorite hobby? mine is reading and drawing I was working on something when you came in" she grinned as she pointed to the book next to her she seemed excited but also nervose for Hogwarts and she drums her fingers humming while watching drawing on her jeans with a pen laying her head on the seat while looking at her with a smile braiding her own hair in small braids because her hair wasnt long enough for one braid but she didnt care she was glad to have sombody to chat with on the train even if they wont have alot of classes together likly it seemed fun and she laughed at her self akwardness and laughed for a few seconds she grins her emareld eyes shiing brightly from the light on the windows finishig her sandwich and starting on her chips with a playfull grin playing with the threads of her hoodie with a smile.

Meluna nodded to her offering more food. She likely wouldn't have an appetite later. If kids bring food to Hogwarts, what would that mean the food there would be like?

She swallowed a bite of her sandwich before answering her question. "My hobby? Mostly reading, I guess. I haven't done much else other than riding my father's horses while he's away on business." She smiled. "You like to draw? May I see your work?" Melun wasn't an artist. She couldn't draw if it meant her life. She could ride horses and understand most animals. That's all she thought she was good at. There was another...something she made a point not to mention to anyone. Meluna had rejected the idea of bringing a copy of the Word with her to hogwarts. Her father had given her no push back. She was grateful he didn't but that didn't mean she would hear the last of it from her mother. She didn't want this girl to know just as she didn't want the other two to know either. It was one of the reasons her Father wanted her to make at least one friend. Even if it meant that person being the next door neighbor whom Meluna barely talked to.

"of course! uhm.. here!" She hands her the sketch book filled to the brim of different drawings of food, clothes and even people. It was a light pink fabric with a butterfly design, the pages looked like wear and tear definitely happened.. Ryann smiled at her adjusting her legs slightly to fix her leg position, she grinned at this slightly hopping it works out she was extremely nervous nobody saw her doodles before besides her siblings, she hopped they were ok, she was very silent about her drawings, she always wanted them to be ok at least when people saw them when a book fell out of her bag and landed on her lap and she flinched from shock.. "gezz sorry I’m not used to books falling...." she laughs a bit at her nervousness as she sat up more smiling adjusting some snacks on her lap with a big grin now, she was nervous about this, so she took a few bites of some Cheetos with a hum waiting for some form of a good job, her body was firm and kind of tense…. Like she always was, there was a small glint of something shiny in her bag just then… what was it?
