Minnie walked into the shop, looking at all the animals in wonder. She'd always loved animals, so this place was her dream. "I...wow." She said, stunned. This is wonderful. But which pet should I choose? She breathed in deeply. I've always liked cats, maybe I should start there.

So she walked to a cat section, smiling and nervous. It's so strange. I'll be going to Hogwarts with a pet. I wonder what Lil will think of that. Minnie shook off the thought and turned her attention to the cats. One cat caught her eye, it was a sleek, black tabby. As she approached the cat, it hissed softly. "Hey..." She stopped. "It's okay. I'm nice." The cat hissed louder and Minnie backed away. "Nope. Definitely not that one." She muttered under her breath.

As she moved to another section, a beautiful orange cat mewed. She walked over and looked at it. The cat had bright green eyes that captivated her. She walked closer, feeling hypothesized by the green eyes. Maybe she's the one? She thought. She set her hand at the bars and was about to slip it through when the cat hissed and tried to scratch her. Minnie pulled her hand out and quickly walked away. "Nope. Nope. And nope. She was a sneaky one though." Minnie commented. She then heard a soft squeak. She realized she'd bumped into a new section. If you could call it a section that is.

It had one tiny crate with an extremely cute ferret in it. That is a really cute ferret. I think she's a girl? Minnie smiled at the scared and probably lonely creature. One feature she saw that was strange was a sort of black stripe, maybe a burn, that was shaped like a lightning bolt. Her lips formed a question, but before she could ask, a hand went on her shoulder. Minnie squealed, surprised. The person behind her chuckled. It was a nice chuckle, so she assumed it was a nice person.

"Hello there. I'm Ernest Witticker, but you can call me Mr. Witticker. I'm one of the shopkeepers here. I see you've found our ferret. She's a mighty nice fella. I found her alone in an abandoned corner of the street and simply had to take her in. That burn you seem to have found is what someone gave her when someone...well it doesn't matter. But it's an interesting enough shape. She's a bit shy and seems to be worried for an animal. But she's a real sweety if you get to know her, and I have a special place for her in my heart." Mr. Witticker told Minnie. She looked at him, no longer intimidated.

"I-thanks for telling me Mr. Witticker. You seem really nice. And that information has made me make my choice. I want her." She told Mr. Witticker this with absolute confidence. She knew she had made the right decision. This ferret was made for her, and she really wanted to learn more about her. "I think I'm going to name her Lightning." She added. The ferret looked up at Minnie, looking like she knew what was happening. Lightning started leaping in all directions and bumping into objects. "I think she's happy." Minnie said quietly. The shopkeeper smiled, nodding.

So Minnie followed Mr. Witticker to the counter where she took out 14 galleons and 2 sickles. She's expensive. She thought. Yet she handed the money over and smiled all while doing it, knowing Lightning was so perfect that she could cost a million galleons and she would still try to buy her. Minnie walked out of the shop, happy and content with her new pet ferret, Lightning.
