The torn up letter must be from Ariana, and its recipient Anna is probably her best friend. Ariana was saying that she’s alone, her mother’s in Egypt and her sister’s at camp. Her father wasn’t mentioned anywhere, but can be assumed to still be at the hospital.

Hmmm.... (These are Wizarding World based btw)
You need to figure out who stole an Heirloom, where it is now (it mysteriously disappeared), and why it was stolen...
The Heirloom is a necklace, it belonged/belongs to this Girl who's Grandmother just passed away. They are a pureblood family, and the necklace was passed down generation to generation. Now, this necklace isn't exactly important, but.. just for the fun of it? Besides, they are paying a lot of galleons for its recovery... (Not Game Galleons, I don't have enough probably. But, you do get a chocolate frog). It went missing just a few days ago, and is suspected to be stolen.
Other Notes:
-The family has a house elf named Mixie (can't think of names rn)
-The Neighbor was at home but claimed to see nothing (it's an old lady with horrible eyesight)

"The Girl's" name is Ariana Jane Blackstone, and she is only 11, hasn't received her Hogwarts letter quite yet, and just lost her Grandma.. Poor girl
Rachel Kay Blackstone is her older sister, she is 16, and a Proud slytherin!
Maria Morgan Blackstone is the Mother, she's an archaeologist, and travels a lot, so she isn't home much.
Daniel Howard Blackstone is the father, he's a doctor at St. Mungos, and he's always taking care of patients so he also isn't home much.
So, Parents are at work, Sister is at school, and that leaves Ariana home alone..
BUT Her Grandma is home!

(Full Name is Elizabeth Rose Blackstone)
And.... sadly, she just passed away, which leaves Ariana alone and sad..
Now for some context on the Heirloom itself:
Created by Great Great Great Great (1 hour later), Great Grandma Blackstone, a skilled Jeweler. Or at least that's the family story, but rumor has it that it's either fake or goblin crafted.
Now Great (great great great etc.) Grandma Blackstone felt bad for the younger children, because heirlooms were usually passed down from eldest to eldest (at least back in her day), so this was passed down from Youngest Daughter to Youngest Daughter, if it's an only child, skip a generation.
Maria Blackstone is an only child.
Therefore the Heirloom is supposed to be given to Ariana!
