Dennis had Juliet since he got her last Christmas. She was 3 months old then and her parents had driven straight from the breeders home the night before to surprise their son. He had discovered her only after everyone else had opened their presents. Since then, Dennis and Juliet had been inseparable. Bengals are highly intelligent and quick to learn all sorts of new tricks. He first taught her how to walk on a leash and come to her name. After they had mastered that he taught her how to stay and listen to the word ‘no.’ Soon, Juliet was walking freely off the leash and never ever went further than she could hear and see her boy. She loved to play fetch and race around the yard.

Dennis was very meticulous about what she ate, what kind of snacks she got. He was able to take her on all sorts of adventures in the Scottish Highlands in the Spring. He loved his kitten with all his heart and couldn’t have ever hoped for aa better companion. Whoever said a dog was a man’s best friend never met Juliet. She was beautiful with her striking leopard pattern spots and intelligent green eyes, which were more stark and noticeable than Dennis’ own. His parents had taken him to Magical Menagerie on their shopping trip. They had asked him to leave Juliet at home in Edinburgh because it was a long trip but Dennis was having none of it. Juliet came with him or he didn’t go!

He raced into the pet store leaving his parents in his dust. The shop was filled with all sorts of animals for sell. Snakes, birds of all shapes and sizes, creatures, and yes, other cats. But none were probably as purebred as his Juliet - or so he thought. He was far more interested in the beds, and toys, and treats, than he was any of the other animals. As he walked through the store, Juliet was having other thoughts. Nervous around the other animals. Once tried to pick a fight with one of the other cats in a cage. Dennis scolded her and she jumped in a single bound onto his shoulders, her favorite and safest spot.

While his parents talked with the kind shop owners, Dennis picked out a cat bed and a few toys. Juliet was very partial to a ball that was the perfect size for fetch on the school grounds! He grabbed a bag of treats and an extra training clicker in case he lost his. Juliet was well trained, and always listened to Dennis but there were still tricks he could teach her. His parents paid for the items and Dennis got to pick out a collar and animal tag so that she could be returned if she got lost around the school. With that Dennis bid adieu to the kind owners and walked out with a bag full of goodies with his cat.
