Open Sesame!  Solo
Sierra gripped her mother’s hand tightly as the two of them wove their way through the crowded street, sticking behind Mr. Oakley, who led them to the door of the Leaky Cauldron, and entered the pub discreetly. Sierra’s eyes adjusted to the dim lighting inside, observing the vintage décor and glancing over its patrons. While Jared tried to usher his family through the establishment without attracting too much attention, it was quite an impossible task for the Oakleys not to go unnoticed, what with Charlotte taking her time dallying around and marveling at the quaint interior design. Mrs. Oakley had no trouble socializing with any of the pub's patrons, heedless to any strange stares she (as a Muggle) might have received. A few of them even recognized Jared, who avoided initiating conversation as he skirted his way over to the counter, where he exchanged a couple of words with the bartender.

Distracted while her parents were occupied, Sierra wandered over to the menu written on a chalkboard and tilted her head, trying to make sense of the pub's dishes.

"Hey, Dad." Sierra approached her father at the counter. "What's the 'Leaky Soup House'?"

"Oooh…" Mrs. Oakley dashed over for a look at the menu, her face lit up with excitement. "Can we try it?"

Mr. Oakley didn't indulge them, and instead scooted his family along towards a back door of the pub. Entering into a empty courtyard, Sierra and her mother stood in front of a plain brick wall, where Mr. Oakley had directed them.

“Now.” Jared pulled out his wand and turned to face his family like a magician on stage, ready to present his act. “Ready to see some magic?”

Sierra and her mother nodded their heads eagerly.

"All right, let's see… if I remember this correctly…" Mr. Oakley mumbled to himself. Sierra's eyes glued to the wall as she watched her father tap an order of bricks with the tip of his wand. Both Sierra and her mother gaped with amazement as the wall shifted in response and the bricks divided, forming an archway that revealed a twisting alley beyond, lined with shops and teeming with crowds.

Jared let out a sigh of relief. Luckily, he hadn't forgotten the right brick combination, after all these years. "There we are. Diagon Alley," he announced, gesturing with his arm for his family to proceed forward.

Mrs. Oakley let out a squeal of delight, taking Sierra by surprise. From what she had been told, her mother hadn't known much about the wizarding world either, and that it was only because of Sierra's recent application to Hogwarts that Mrs. Oakley was now able to tag along and view the other side for herself. Thus far, her mother's carefree enthusiasm had been contagious, lightening Sierra's own nervous anticipation about her upcoming school year.

"Oh, you're such a wizard, Jare!" Charlotte gave a little hop on her tiptoes and latched onto her husband's arm, tugging him and Sierra along through the archway, which sealed into a solid wall behind them.
