Kaitlyn walked through the school grounds. She was bundled up in her Slytherin cloak and a peacoat. Her Slytherin scarf wrapped tightly around her neck. Pink mittens and pink earmuffs. Despite the snow on the ground, she still moved gracefully, almost as if she did not feel the snow weighing down her boots. It was quiet outside of the castle, largely in part due to the weather. A fact that she enjoyed. While there was a cold breeze, she was bundled up enough to barely feel it.

With a smile on her face, she continued her leisure walk. She carried a thermos with her that she filled with hot soup before leaving the castle, along with her bag with her sketchpad in it, just in case. She wanted to find a peaceful spot outside, away from the craziness of her common room, and to give herself time to think. She was truthfully an introverted person through and through. She also wanted time to think for herself. While she did her best to be nice and sociable, she knew how much it took out of her. Most days, she fell right asleep the second her head touched her pillow. At least she slept a lot.

Closed Walking in the Snow PV August Acres
The snow was such a glorious wonder for the young boy, it's shimmering fuzzy feeling which at the same time could bite with such an unknown coldness captivated August as he galivanted through the white field. His time at Hogwarts was something mostly full of confusion and loneliness but nothing ever brought him as much joy as the great outdoors. He was wrapped in a flowing red and gold scarf, which would practically float behind him as he would explore, alongside his normal Gryffindor attire, albeit a little muddy and hints of snowflakes littered across it.

Giggling to himself as he played in the snow, it was a refreshing break from the seriousness of classes and studying, despite his shivering red hands. Thoughts of what all the possibilities he could take with the snow crossed his mind before he finally settled on the great and wonderous art of Snow angels. Gazing around for the perfect spot, not too deep but not too shallow, August would finally find a perfect spot, unbeknownst to him becoming perfect due to being somewhat of a walkway.

Plopping himself on to the white fluff he'd begin to move his arms and legs joyfully up and down in an attempt to create the most perfect of snow angels, although a different kind of shiver would captivate him for a moment. An anxious one. Flickering his torso upwards as he sat on his bottom, his head would tilt to his left before raising upwards to his embarrassment finding another student adorned in a mixture of black and green. His face going from rosey to a flush of red he couldn't believe what a fool he was making of himself in front of someone else, a girl his age no less.

Taking a moment awkwardly a hesitant puff of breath would leave his mouth, clearly visible due to the cold air before he managed to sputter some words out. "Oh! Uhm... Sorry!" He was in her way sure, and the average person would move, but this young boy was frozen in place, not due to the freezing temperature, but out of an immense amount of fear.

As she walked, Kaitlyn was lost in her own thoughts. About her time at Hogwarts. All the friends she made. How much she missed her home. How much she missed her friends. Even thoughts of how much she missed being a muggle, which was a strange thought. Here she was, surrounded by cool magical items, learning cool spells. And yet, she missed being a muggle. Everything she had to leave behind. She also missed the muggle all-girls Catholic boarding school she went to. Despite being a twelve-year-old girl, she actually enjoyed school. A mindset that most of her muggle classmates probably didn’t share.

At first, Kaitlyn didn’t notice anyone else around, as her mind raced with thoughts. But, as she walked further along, she noticed a boy in her path, likely around her age. A flush bloomed on her cheeks and he apologized to her. “Hi,” she said, shyly. She looked at the ground at the snow angel he made. “A sn-snow ang-angel,” she stammered. Without a second thought, she took off her bag and set it on a nearby rock and placed her thermos next to it. She laid down on the ground next to the boy and started to make her own snow angel.
