The sun had barely risen over the freezing, cloud-filled skies that late January morning, casting its golden rays across the Scottish Highlands. In a very classic wintery fashion, a light amount of snow had settled on the stands and pitch overnight, offering a calming winter scene. However, that wouldn't last particularly long, as hordes rushed out for the next round of quidditch games due to take place that very day. Despite the cold temperatures, the stalls were soon filled with a range of students and staff wrapped up warm - loud, raring and eager to cheer, especially decorated in warm yellows or deep blues depending on which team they were supporting in today's first game.
"Welcome, welcome!" A loud booming voice would echo across the pitch, quietening the excitable crowds as their eyes turned to the announcer. "To the second round of the 2023-2024 quidditch games! This morning, we'll be seeing the fearsome Badgers and mighty Eagles pitted against each other! So, give both teams a massive round of applause!"
Both teams would enter the pitch, their team captains nobly leading the way, as the stadium roared with cheers and applause, ready to get going with the game. "If everyone's ready, then let us begin!"
