Hannah hadn't actually tutored anyone, before, but she was excited. She had her second year books, and her first year books, which she assumed Kaitlyn - the girl she would be tutoring, would also bring. She also had her wand, but this session she wanted to cover the basics. Concentration being key.

She had left the letter that she had sent to Kaitlyn in her common room. It wasn't much of a letter, more like a note, but it was something. It read:

'Dear Kaitlyn Connor,
Hi! My name is Hannah Blossom, and I saw that you were looking for a tutor, and I'd love to help! I'm a straight O student, so I'm sure I'll be of some help.

Anyways, if you'd like my help meet me in the study room after tomorrow at exactly 4:30 PM. Bring your wand and books, and I'll be prepared. If you're not there by 5:00, I'll leave, so don't be late!

She did hope she'd come, and whilst she waited she practiced a few charms. "Colloportus!" she said, and then she observed the door lock. She left it lock, so if anyone needed to come in, they would have to knock.

"Bullarum Immortalem!" she said loudly. Bubbles came out of her wand, and then she heard a noise, perhaps someone knocking?

Being a muggle-born student with very little confidence, Kaitlyn desired assistance. Despite being proud of her intelligence, she was well aware that she was going to need help if she was going to do well enough in school. Besides, she needed to learn the spells expected of a first-year. So, she advertised looking for a tutor. She didn’t know how that process went or if any older student would even consider her proposal for tutoring.

When she received the owl from Hannah, Kaitlyn flushed red, happy that someone was willing to help her. Now, she just had to hope she was intelligent enough to take whatever was learned from these sessions to turn around and do well in her classes. ‘

Katie had arrived early. Very early. 4 pm early. That was partially to ensure she figured out her way to the study room. But also so she could pace around outside and try to think about how she would approach talking to this older student. Hannah was willing to help her. The least she could do was not talk like a blubbering idiot. She needed to take these sessions seriously. For her learning, yes, but also so Hannah didn’t feel like she was wasting her time helping her out.

With a sigh, Katie approached the door to the study room five minutes early. She nervously adjusted her bag, which contained her textbooks, and her textbook quality notes from every class she attended thus far. She tried to keep herself very organized. She tried the door to the study room, which was locked. With a frown, she lifted her hand and knocked on the door. Twice. With a decent amount of force. She then stood at the door politely, with her hands clasped shyly.

She looked at her small silver watch on her left arm. 4:24, she was a few minutes early. There were still some bubbles from her last spell, but they would pop soon.

"Alohomora!" the door opened, and she went to receive her. "Hi! You must be Kaitlyn, right?" she extended her hand for her to shake it. "As you must know, I'm Hannah, it's a pleasure to meet you!" she then told the girl to come in, and she looked as Hannah had imagined her.

Or at least a lot like it. She was wearing Slytherin robes, her hair in a very pretty hairstyle and wearing tulip earrings. She was shorter than Hannah and had brown hair and light but a little tan skin. She looked like she had been in the common room, getting ready.

Hannah was wearing a very different outfit from Kaitlyn's, she hadn't had her school robes on, but her house didn't really matter. She though that she looked nice enough.

"So, I assume you have your books. I was thinking, since this is our first tutoring session together, we could go through the basics, the rules and mostly introduce ourselves and get to know each other better." she told her. Hannah also had all of her Charms books from her first year, and her books from her second year, but she probably wouldn't be using those.

She looked at her and asked her a question. "Do you remember the basic rules of charms, not just casting, but the rules you heard in your first lesson?" she probably did know, but Hannah would repeat them. "I don't want to sound boring, but they are very important. If you don't do all three of these, you won't ever learn a proper charm. The rules are precision with your wand movements, enunciation of the incantation and concentration of the mind." she said.

"You seem like a smart girl, so keep those in mind." she then grinned, and moved around the classroom a bit. "Also, give me any feedback if you'd like. I love to tutor, but this is my first session with a proper student, but I don't think this will go badly." she had a good feeling about this lesson, but she didn't want Kaitlyn to freak out and think that her tutor didn't know how to tutor.

Kaitlyn smiled brightly as the door to the Study Room opened. “Yes, I am. It’s a pleasure to meet you too, Hannah,” she responded, shaking the older girl’s hand. Despite just meeting Hannah, Katie could tell she would enjoy working with her.

Katie very rarely judged someone by how they looked. She wore her Slytherin uniform to this meeting, while Hannah was dressed more casually. While she had never worn an outfit like it, she must admit that Hannah looked nice. She didn’t care one way or the other as to what house Hannah was in. She wasn’t a fan of the house rivalry garbage. Quite frankly, she based her interactions on how she was treated. So far, Hannah was nice to her. That was all that she needed to know.

“Yes, I do,” Katie said as she placed her bag down on one of the desks. She smiled and nodded to Hannah’s suggestion for their current meeting. “Okay, that works for me. I’m going to look forward to these,” she added, smiling to Hannah.

Just as Katie was about to answer Hannah’s question, she noticed that Hannah was answering them herself, so she kept her mouth shut. She smiled and listened to Hannah’s instructions. She did remember those rules for charms. They were bound to be pretty useful, as far as she could tell. She could not help but to giggle at what Hannah said about her tutoring. “I’ll keep that in mind, but you have my confidence. I promise to be a good proper student for you,” she responded, her smile bright.
