Marcie had mixed feelings about her new school, she had never made true friends at her old muggle school but on the other hand, she had always had her sister as a friend which was more than she could ever ask for. Now going to Hogwarts while her sister went to another school would be terrible! She had always looked forward to bonding with Julie at the end of the day but now she didn't even have that. She looked on the bright side, maybe she would have a new start? new friends? Plus magic would be even cooler to learn about then math or english! She looked at her mom and gave her a quick hug that she hoped would help her mom get by, she knew that her mom didn't like them going away for too long but she did put her daughters before her and thought about there future. Marcie didn't like to go away from there tiny cottage which she would always call home, maybe she would feel the same was about hogwarts? Her mom had told her about the corridors the great hall and the endless shelves of books in the library, this made Marcie feel more confident about stepping onto that crowded train. She looked up at her mom and felt that she wasn't yet ready to go, not yet. She lingerd at her side for a second then remebered that if she wanted to find herself a compartment she had to go now. She sighed and stepped into the large train, steam bilowing out of the front. She was strolling the corridors looking into each compartment trying to find an empty one, then she heard a yelp, and frooze. Were there any mean kids here? She wonderd to herself as another student pushed past her and looked into a compartment. She slowly made it to the end of the train, there werent any empty compartments so she went back down to find one that didn't have too much people. She peaked into a compartment and spotted a girl with brown-ish hair. She stepped inside, She had heard many people ask to go into a compartment which she thought was quite odd but she still asked. "C-can I uh, sit here?" She asked. Hpefully this would be nice train ride, she did want to make friends but she felt that that would be a disgrace to her sister's memory if she started making too much friends now. She then wondered if her sister or mother were thinking about her, would they forget her?

She stepped forward and shook her hand, "um, thanks"she said quetly as she sat down directly infront of the other girl. The other girl intruduced herself as Maddie. "uh... I'm Marcie." she said a little louder, not wanting to seem like a introvert at all, which she knew she was... She just sat there for a while, reading her book and taking glaces out the window here and there. As she looked out the window she saw a mystical building, looming over the trees. It took alot of land in the area and was sorrounded by forest and she spotted a large lake boats at the ready. Marcie didn't really know how to pattle, she had only rode a boat once in her life, when she went fishing, Marcie wasn't afraid of the water, she was actually a really strong swimmer but that time she got really freaked out about gliding through a large lake like that.

She looked out the window as they were passing by the majetic building and wondered why they needed so much space, were there alot of classes? She could understand why it was bigger than her muggle school since it wasn't a boarding school. She sighed, not wanting to make this friend too early but "uh, yeah, u-um what house do you want t-to be in?" she asked slowly feeling a liitle akward as she spoke to Maddie. She wasn't the type to start small talk or anything but it would be really rude to continue throughout the whole ride in scilence. She looked out the window, staring at the quickly approching figure of Hogwarts.
