Anyone who knows Aurora knows that she moves to the beat of her own drum. Since a young age her father realized that she was a wild and free spirit. She is headstrong and lets life move her in whichever direction it chooses. She isn’t one to follow rules or do what is expected of her. She is still a lady, no doubt, but breaks apart whenever she is able. Not necessarily rebelling, but she wishes to do things for her own reasons rather than what someone else tells her to do.
Aurora was always the eye of the storm: Unpredictable - cold one day, sweet the next; irresistibly kind one moment, resistibly obnoxious the next. She's as flirty with moods as Scarlett O'Hara with the Tarleton twins, breaking through the clouds in spectacular bursts that seemed like personal favours and then retreating for hours, days, and making us all ache for just a glimpse. She likes to have her victims wrapped around her finger; she speaks mere portions of truth in order to deceive as a craftsman of destruction. She's a girl who thinks, knows how to turn her spirit into flesh, who knows what she knows and also knows how to fly; a girl so sure of herself that she uses both her mind and beauty to weave others in her web.
You can no more change Aurora's mind than you can persuade the dawn not to come. That girl is the most difficult; the most stubborn girl you'll ever have the displeasure of meeting. She's bold enough to live life on her own terms, and never, ever apologizes for it. She goes against the grain, refuses to conform, and takes the road less traveled instead of the well-beaten path. She laughs in the face of adversity, and leaps before she looks. She was born with a bit of angel-shine, and though it wears thin sometimes, there is always enough left to lasso a heart—even when she is sitting in the mud, or crying temperamental tears.
She has quickly adapted to the "kill or be killed" philosophy, and has grown to be a survivalist, lethal, but good at thinking outside the box. She is very gutsy when it comes to showing her dislike for something or someone, where she can be impatient and cruel at times, as well as rather vicious toward others both verbally and physically. Aurora is like water: she can rush pass you, or she will over-flood. She will drown you, or force you to go her current ways. She can be cold or hot-tempered. Most days she'll come as a raging wave and cause a ripple, or another day she'll be a calm sea, supporting you, quenching your thirst, and flow by your side to where kisses will always stay wet.

o d d i t i e sx // xUnlike most ladies, Aurora's hands are callused and rough from working the fields. She has a few small scars on her body from falls off her horse or an accident farming tools. She is covered in freckles and birthmarks.

The porcelain surface speckled in freckles particularly at the crests of her shoulders and along her nose and cheeks. Her body is slender which makes her appear anything but a fighter. She has a soft square shaped face with high cheek bones and a petite angled nose that perfectly juxtaposes her plush soft lips. She never dresses indecent for a woman but is rarely in proper noble attire. When at home or in her dorm, she wears clothing similar to farmer's wives and servants, simple clothing of common make to put gold in the pockets of those who need it, not wealthy seamstresses. The hems of her skirts are often ragged and stained from the earth, and she usually wears an apron fastened around her waist making her look much like a commoner.

Philomena Dyer was an English witch. Newly graduated from Hogwarts, Philomena grew overwhelmed with the options facing her in the wizarding world. She had studied divination, mostly astrology, while in school, and was facing push-back from her writing on the subject. She could not get a job anywhere, and she felt very discouraged by this. While studying for her personal writings, Philomena came across the name Karl Wilhelm Reinmuth, a German astronomer who was looking for an assistant as he was well established in his career of discovering minor planets in the universe. Philomena travelled to Southern Germany to work with Reinmuth at the Heidelberg Observatory. In her first week, Reinmuth made one of his most famed discoveries, a Jupiter Trojan he names Diomedes. In the same day, they also discovered the Aurora lights. Philomena was entranced by his work, she felt what they were doing was so groundbreaking and exciting. She hung the a picture of the Aurora on her desk. Philomena was Reinmuth’s assistant for nearly 15 years. During this time, they worked exceptionally closely, and fell in love. Reinmuth’s first love was astronomy, though, and he often chose it over Philomena, driving her further away from him as the years ticked on. When Philomena discovered her pregnancy in the winter, she proposed to her partner, but he turned her down, saying he had too much on his plate to build a family. In February, Reinmuth made the largest discovery of his career, the largest belt of asteroids ever to be discovered, and named the near-Earth object Apollo. Just following this, Philomena moved back to England to raise her child on her own.
Though Philomena never explicitly told Reinmuth of her pregnancy, she figured if he loved her he would have accepted her proposal without the threat of a child to raise. This thought brought her a sense of comfort. Philomena gave birth to a baby girl in the summer and named her daughter Aurora, to honour the beautiful sights her mother and father had seen. Philomena’s parents had never forgiven her for moving to Germany and giving up the magical world for such a long period of her life. So, when Philomena raised Aurora, she did so all on her own. She had no family or husband to help her. At this time in her life, Philomena liked to think of herself and Aurora as together against the rest of the world. As Aurora aged, her magical talents became apparent. She was a smart child, wondrous and inquisitive, just like her mother and father. Philomena never hid the truth from her daughter about her father. Aurora was raised understanding that her mother was all she had, and that her father did very important work in another part of the world. Aurora was raised to think that her mother loved her enough for two parents, and she did, but Aurora did not find love in other parts of her life easily. Though very beautiful, she has difficulties making friends in school. She feels like an outcast in her world, until she arrived at Hogwarts where she found her place.
