The bustling train has already left London behind by the time Eleanor finally found an empty compartment. Not that she would mind sitting with the other children, but she still needs to finish the last chapter of her book. And reading while others try to socialize is rather exhausting. Now, finally being able to sit down after walking through half the train, Eleanor quickly stores her trunk in the compartment above and opens her backpack to pull out the book in question. It’s a rather colorful looking muggle book about a society of sentient owls living on a giant tree in the middle of an island. It is, despite being written by a muggle, quite a fantastical story that has captured her attention for the past months. Oh how Eleanor wishes to own her own owl but alas her parents wouldn’t allow it, but they did promise that if she did well in her first year they would think about allowing it.
Seeing the brown-haired girl sitting there, her nose buried in a book, one could come to the conclusion that she is a Ravenclaw. And who knows maybe she will be in the House of Knowledge. Many times did Eleanor think about which House would be hers and if it wasn’t for her book she would probably be nervous about the sorting that is coming close the farther the Hogwarts-Express travels.
