Loving Me Some Snake Oil
IC Date: A monday after winter break
The boy had a sly look sneak across his face. Just that previous week, he spent the final days of winter break collecting and looting from his father's house and supply. Sure, he was avoiding whatever classes he had to do just to open up a temporary pop-up black market of a sort, in where the part goblin sold potions. As of right now, the biggest thing the boy had on hand was the Love Potion, the strongest known Love Potion; Amortentia.
Outside of that, the boy had vials of random miscellenious liquids. His favorite two vials were the exploding fluid and the acromantula venom. Perhaps not the most violate item he could possess but still the coolest, especially if he were to play the devil's advocate and intentionally slap on fake labels, falsely advertising the 'so-called snake oil' items as literal potions. (and he did, he did slap fake labels on them; calling the orange one the Pompion Potion and the brownish green one the Invisibility Potion)
The Part Goblin withdrew up the three items in his case. He figured he might as well start off with three and eventually work his way up to having more items in his briefcase. He also pulled out a temporary poster he made and epoximised them up onto the wall.
Once class let out, he proudly stood where his briefcase were used as a table with the potion and the two snake-oil potions lined up on top.
On the side of the briefcase, the side where the people could see when walking by, he epoximised a sign with pricing and of what the items were that he were selling. For Sale

Loving Me Some Snake Oil
Respite was not among the things that the winter break brought.
Once again, peace eluded Remedy during what should have been a tranquil vacation from studies; however, the period left behind more riddles in her conspirers’ wake. The girl felt as though she was drowning in turmoil, seething with rage seeing her dormmate June’s face again, felt even more alone than when she did when she first arrived in this place. All Remedy craved, was to be alone; to sift through her confusion, meditate with her thoughts — to have a break.
As the young girl aged from adolescence towards preteen, the demands seemingly multiplied, forcing her to assume a facade because her status rather than embrace her natural headstrong nature. The young Slytherin had to often reaffirm to herself that life was a chess game; that she either could assume her position as player, or be among the pathetic as a mere pawn. The game of life was all about strategy, Remedy recalled her father often saying; likely from some silly fables and recited anecdotes. She heeded his advice though — or rather; part of it that held value — as Remedy employed calculated moves around Hogwarts, talking less and listening more, and keeping her wit about her. She’d find a way to outmaneuver her opponents, it was just a matter of time.
She exited Charms, hastily descended the stairs and slowly entered the classroom backwards, a quick attempt to remain inconspicuous to the busybodies and ensure the Slytherin wasn’t being followed. Upon turning around, her brown eyes landed upon an unpleasant sight; none other than Clark Baird.
A frown met her face initially, but it transitioned her countenance to a passive smile before the boy could notice her obvious distaste. “Clark,” Remedy greeted, sauntering to his station, “This looks fun.”
What was the phrase? Enemy of my enemy, is my potion dealer?
“Right then,” Remedy pulled a pouch of galleons from her cloak pocket, a small gift she had received from Christmas. “I’ll take the Amortentia,”
Several ideas lingered in the back of her mind, how she could use this love potion. Her foes wouldn’t expect Remedy to have access to such a powerful device, but here it was. Somehow. A quick glance at the other two potions would alert her that they looked improperly made; if the young girl had recalled from lessons, the colors of each were off but didn’t say anything. Nor would she ask if, or how, Clark came to possess these.
Setting the pouch before Clark, she flashed a smile: “Will that be enough?”

Clark smiled, a short but sudden grimace on his expressions. "Rem. Hello." He gritted his teeth. "How goes it you hog?" He meant nothing by it, with the exception of trying to shoo her out of the way in the case that she wasn't going to buy a dang thing.
He pulled out a straw hat with a ribbon wrapped around the brim. "THE STRONGEST LOVE POTION! A FUNKY PUMPKIN HEAD! A CHANCE TO BE INVISIBLE! STEP RIGHT UP! COME MAKE A BUY!"
The girl put a pouch before him, and he took a quick look inside. "While I feel like I need to count it, I don't have the time right now. Go, take the Amortentia Potion. Go. You don't get a second potion." At least, she doesn't get a second potion at that very moment. If he were to have set it up later that week again, then yes, she was more than welcome to buy a second potion.
He waved at the others looking through the entryway to the classroom, which was left open. "Come buy some AUTHENTIC potions! Only two left! TWO LEFT IN STOCK! THE POMPION POTION AND THE INVISIBILITY POTION! Make sure you drink these!" He hoped no one would drink the snake-oil products. One was acromantula venom and the other was exploding fluid. However, he felt that if they drank it, it was their own stupidity and not his fault. Perhaps he should one day have a contract drafted up where it says he should not be held responsible for anything that happens after the transaction was achieved.

Loving Me Some Snake Oil
She knew this was wrong on many accounts — to cohort with her enemy, but desperate means met desperate ends.
The Slytherin tried to ignore the tugging worry at her mind as she swished the potion over her head for better examination; in truth, it looked legit, and if it was, the effects of said potion could be monumental. None would suspect Remedy to possess such a thing — let alone speak to Clark after what he had done to her cousin, but this was bigger than some childish feud. June crossed a line and betrayed her trust inviting that thing to her home; it was only fair that they both got what they deserved.
Slipping the potion to her enchanted satchel, Remedy played her token smirk and nodded to Clark, ignoring the fact he had called her a hog to focus on the matter at hand, as a farewell. He seemed in a rush and Remedy respected the hustle, despite the fact his wares looked..poorly made if they were properly labeled. Peeping heads stood in her way as the Slytherin made for the door, maneuvering her small frame to exit the classroom and into the sanctuary of her dorm. Murmurs drove a crowd; it was only a matter of time when a prefect would shut this operation down.
Hightailing to her dorm, an uncanny joy played at her face as she held her satchel against her hip, to avoid her newest prize to accidentally reveal its head.
