Inara had finished buying all her school supplies, and she decided she wanted to get a pet. Looking around at all the stores, she found the one she was looking for. She headed over to the shop that read, The Magical Menagerie. Inara opened the door slowly.. The door was very old and it creaked a lot, causing some frightened animals to jump out of the way."Whoops," Inara said, giggling. She spotted a witch at the front desk, so she walked over there. "Hello, I would like to get a pet," She told the Witch. The Witch smiled kindly, and said, "Well You've come to the right place! Follow me..” Inara followed her, and as she did, she looked at the animals, wondering which one she wanted to get. She couldn’t afford a Pygmy Puff… she didn’t want to get a Toad, Fish, or Ferret. That left, An Owl, , or Bunny. Her thoughts were interrupted when the witch said,“Here we are. “Most students like owls, or cats,why don’t you take a look?” Inara looked at the owls first. They were beautiful, but not what she wanted. Besides, she couldn’t even afford one. Next, she looked at the cats. She spotted one cat, a Silver Mackerel Tabby, and she knew immediately that it was the one she wanted. The witch saw her looking, and said, “Ah, that one. The youngest of her litter, and the only female. We haven’t named her yet.” Inara studied the cat for a while.. It seemed to be very independent from its brothers, and very playful too. She noticed that it would play by itself, and it seemed to like pouncing on things. “How much is it to adopt the cat?” She asked the witch. “10 Galleons” The witch answered. “Can you afford it? If not, I’m sure you can get another pet”. Inara reached into her pocket. She had exactly 10 galleons left. Inara decided she would come back to it. She just wanted to make sure that was really what she wanted, as she hadn’t looked at the bunnies yet. She walked over to look at the bunnies, but she couldn’t afford them. So she walked back over to the cats and she paid 10 galleons. The cat seemed to be like her, and was very friendly, so she knew she had made the right choice. The kitten reminded her of Artemis, Greek goddess of the hunt and the moon, so she decided to name her that. After she bought the things that she would need to take care of the cat. Inara picked up her cat, Artemis and left the shop, with her spirits lifted, and her pockets lighter.. Some people really underestimate the weight of galleons.
