A little Mischief
Bellus, a blonde haired girl with blue eyes, swung the portrait of the Fat Lady, who said,
“Don’t swing me like that! Be more respectful!”, with a disapproving expression.
Her disapproving expression changed however, into a frown. She narrowed her eyes.
“Are you up to another mischievous journey?” She asked, her disapproving face coming back.
Bellus merely shrugged, she had no time for little chit-chatting, she was too excited for answering. So she climbed out of the Gryffindor common room, ignoring the Fat Lady’s rather loud lecture and walked down the marble staircase and headed to the Great Hall. She had received owls from her sister, Regina Spindlewheel, to meet up at the Great Hall. They were into a little mischief. Her heart was hammering inside her chest with excitement and nervousness. Bellus had always been curious to go out of the school grounds and explore. And with her flowing excitement, she couldn’t prevent herself from inviting her sister into the game.
She walked over to the Great Hall, which was buzzing with chatter as usual. Her fellow Gryffindor were all gathered around by the house point tracker. The Ruby red that resembled the Gryffindor points were not very high. However, it didn’t stop Bellus from sneaking out to explore. She told herself that she wouldn’t be caught and that she would be alright. She turned right, in the direction of the Gryffindor table, where the sisters had promised to wait. Regina was already there.
“Hello Regina!” I said, bounding over to meet her.

A little Mischief
Another girl, a bit tiny for her age, with a pair of big and innocent eyes, and long, wavy, lighter blonde hair, was leaning against the wall of the great hall. She was carrying a small square canvas on her left hand, held tightly among her other hand was her best painting brush that she brought along when she first entered hogwarts. Her blue eyes looked splendid under the lightings, and her hair brushed neatly.
Regina SpindleWheel was certainly one of a kind, she carries her miniature art supplies nearly everywhere she goes. With her brush moving along with her hand elegantly, she finished her little portrait of an owl really quickly.
Regina’s head shot up as she heard footsteps, moreover, her name being called. Henceforth, she rose her head towards the direction of where the voice came from, and lowered her brush and painting.
“Bellus! I’ve been waiting for you. What’s taking you so long?”
Regina’s eyes twinkled with playfulness.
“I remember a girl who enjoys getting into trouble, and who never bothers trying to avoid them. She’s standing right in front of me now.”
Regina smiled at her eldest sister, full of affection, joyfulness and… maybe a little worry. For the young girl had never really get into trouble before, at least she always try to avoid them, if that’s possible. If they got caught in the little mischief they ought to do, the result would be unimaginable.

Bellus looked at Regina’s drawing it was very pretty. She instantly recognised the paintbrush she was carrying, it was as though she was Spellotaped to it. She always carried it along with her.
Bellus heard the very playful insult and looked down at her sister’s eyes. They shined brightly, reflecting the brightly lit candles floating amidst. She broke into a grin. Her younger sister was right. No wonder she was sorted into Gryffindor. Bellus was a kind girl and got along with her friends and families well. However, she had a knack of getting in trouble. Bellus had always found joy by breaking rules. She couldn’t imagine having to follow all rules at all times. If she had to experience days without rule-breaking, she would probably go mad she thought. Yes, she would definitely go mad. Bellus would always tell others that rules are made for breaking, whenever she was caught being a little curious, although people just looked at her with a disapproving face. Her heart started to hammer faster. Although she was keen to prowl around the school grounds, she was still a little nervous and worried about getting caught. She assured herself that she would be very careful.
“I was playing exploding snap.” Bellus explained, smiling.
She looked at Regina’s face.
“Well, I had to finish it, didn’t I?”
“Anyways, where should we go?” she couldn’t wait any longer.

A little Mischief
Regina noticed how her sister was eyeing her art art. She smiled warmly, explaining the owl she painted. Turns out she took a short trip to the owlery to sketch out the owl before she came waiting in the hall. She was unsurprisingly lot more on-time than her ever-so-mischievous Bellus.
“A rather good brush, isn’t it,” As Bellus’s gaze fell to her brush, Regina repeated enthusiastically once again, while examining her brown wooden brush carefully, as if it was some sort of treasure. Which again, she had always viewed the year-old brush as her own child, she never lets anyone touch them nor use them.
It was Exploding snap that Bellus said, the 11 year old girl was alarmed, though her gaze still lingering on her paint brush as she softly spoke, “Exploding snap? As if the game of cards that kept bombing? The one that made your face piled up with ashes?”
Regina giggled as she remembered their sister’s face when she got bombed by the cards back when she was 9 or 10. Then almost immediately her face turned dead serious again.
“Quite dangerous I’d say, as there is no guarantee of the game’s safety. We’re talking about ‘Exploding snaps’ after all,” was what Regina said, as she brushed away a strand of hair that fell mischievously when she lifted her brush up.
“The little SpindleWheel” — As her mother would call her, was always so cautious of her surroundings. Most of the time it benefits greatly, though sometimes it may appear quite annoying to the people around her. They find her hard to deal with, especially if she’s on a mood.
To hold back the urge not to complain “how big of a threat exploding snaps are”, Regina began humming a tune.
“Up to you, ma’am.”

A little Mischief
Bellus exploded with ideas. She could explore the Forbidden forest, even get into Hogsmeade! Bellus had heard about the sweet shop, Honeydukes and was longing to enter. Her mouth watered as she thought about the marvellous sweets she could get. Every flavoured beans, chocolate frog, cockroach cluster, liquorice wands, pepper imps. Her mind trailed off to the bar in Hogsmeade, The three broomstick.
“I could do with a butter beer.” She thought.
“Perhaps we can get into Hogsmeade. But we’ll have to buy the fake permission forms in Diagon Alley.” Bellus said.
Her heart gave a jolt. Bellus knew she couldn’t afford it. Maybe they could go out to the Forbidden forest. It would be wonderful to explore the depths of the forest and meet creatures. However, she had heard about the dark creatures that prowl in the shadows of the forest.
“We can go in to the forest.” She said, not being able to keep her fear out of her voice.
“Or we can go to the Leaky Cauldron!” She said, a sudden sparkle of idea shooting out.
They could sneak out of school and go there. How would they get there? Will they ever be able to return? The Leaky Cauldron was a bar near Diagon Alley. It would be too far away to go there. And there wouldn’t be some special service for the Hogwarts express to just send the sisters back to school. She was out of ideas. Bellus turned to her sister.
“What do you think? You’re the smart one!”

A little Mischief
Regina added a few extra brushes to the owl painting she was working on as she listened to her sister’s ideas. The owl was technically finished, though it didn’t look quite perfect enough for her. She tilted her head, viewing her painting in another angle, thinking whether the painting would look better with or without shadings.
Her head automatically began shaking slowly as she heard Bellus’s reckless and silly idea of buying fake permission slips in Diagon alley. Knowing that their parents will never forgive them for using their money as a trip to Hogsmeade, when they only lives 3 minutes away (if you’re walking by feet).
Regina eyed her sister as she came up with another impractical idea of going into the forbidden forest. “It’s ‘Forbidden forest’, Bellus.” She was cut short by the Gryffindor girl, sighing, she resumed her painting rather slowly.
Regina was smart, though she was book smart, not getting-out-of-trouble smart. She couldn’t help but half disagree with her sister. Just because she was the RavenClaw among the two, it didn’t mean she knew everything. When Bellus asked for her opinion, saying she was the smart one, Regina paused to think of the safest plan.
“Among the three ideas you just listed out, only the leaky cauldron sounds the safest.”

Bellus looked at Regina’s twitching lips, thinking hard. Perhaps she would have a good answer, after all, she was a Ravenclaw, know for their wit and cleverness. She would probably choose the safest location for them to explore. It sounded like what Regina would do.
Bellus’s thoughts were immediately found correct, as Regina answered that the Leaky Cauldron was the safest place.
“The Leaky Cauldron. Okay…”
Bellus gave a second thought about going to the bar. Yes, it sounded like the safest place. She jumped out of her seat. If they were going to the Leaky Cauldron, they better get a move on, while it was early in the morning. Before anyone else can notice that they are missing. Bellus nudged her sister so that she too would move along, instead of being stolen away by her magnificent drawing of an owl.
Bellus shoved the last pieces of toast, crunched through the left-over sausages and gobbled up the last drops of pumpkin juice.
“Come on!” She said, elbowing Regina.
They passed the 4 tables, past the teachers discussing in hushed voices. Bellus’s heart hammered. The teachers weren’t looking. We will be fine. she assured herself. They pushed the front door and went out to the school grounds. Bellus bounced, rather than walking, as she couldn’t control her excitement. Another mischievous journey! They walked (in Bellus’s case, bounced) in the direction of the Leaky Cauldron.

A little Mischief
Regina blinked blankly while looking into Bellus’s eyes, looking for whatever was in her elder sister’s mind. People alway say that the mysterious Regina SpindleWheel always looked as if she was in her own castle in the air. Among the family of SpindleWheels, her thoughts and feelings are the hardest to read. For her being calm and silent, back when she was 7, her only friend awarded her with “No.1 Poker face champion”. Regina took her special talent of not having any facial expressions as a win-win. For it saved her lots of trouble and also allow others to make up how she’s feeling to their desire.
Regina ignored her sister when she was being nudged. She watched her sister gobble down the food, feeling a little bit worried for her. “Great heavens- slow down!” She whispered loudly into Bellus’s ear. “You’re going to catch people’s attention, Bel!” Regina had more to say, but she paused. Remembering how her father told her not to “brag about her knowledge”, except that she wasn’t even trying to brag.
“I’m not bragging, this is for safety issues.” She replied to herself in her mind. So, letting her heart take over her brain, she began chitter-chattering about the choking hazards and possible deaths eating too quickly can cause.
“Eating too fast can cause abdominal pain, obesity, high blood sugar…” Regina listed out, she paused to get some air, forgetting the whole point of meeting her sister in the great hall was to go to sneak out of the castle, not listening to her lecture on safety measurements.
Regina prepared to speak again, but not before being nudged the second time. She watched Bellus went pass the teachers with a very tense pose, wondering why she couldn’t walk properly, when they were allowed to leave the great hall as they please. She quickly caught up to Bellus, couldn’t feel quite as excited as her sister.
