Alone with my thoughts
The Outfit A roleplay solo of Bea looking and admiring all of the books. First person. Lots of reading. Books from home too.
I'd always been fascinated by books, how could you not be? They were an escape from reality. You could get to know fictional characters and put them in roles in your own head.
I'd been reading books ever since I was a child. My parents had always encouraged me to read more to get better and pronunciation, spelling and writing. Through all the years as I became better then ever at spelling, writing and pronunciation my parents bought me more and more books to test my skills.
Books were a new type of reality. Different from the things that happened. Some could be relatable and some you felt like you were experiencing for the first time.
My favourite genre of books currently were romance. When I was young, the only thing I would read were adventure books. Mountain climbing, forest exploring and river swimming. I'd dreamt of doing all those things but never done any of them.
Romance. The love blossoming. Hatred to love. It was so magical.
I'd brought many books from home with me and I also had all the school books I had purchased in Diagon Alley.
I unzipped my green backpack and pulled out 'Tangled Secrets'.
I'd already read this book quite a few times. But the story was so captivating it kept pulling me back in.

Alone with my thoughts
Reading provided me with a distraction and it also helped me focus in times of need.
My favourite books were the ones I left at home but I knew the story of by heart. If I ever wanted to re-read my favourite books I could remember in my head and in my heart.
I found it hard to read new books sometimes. I was always worried that they would take a spot as one of my favourite books. I'd read all of my school books but only to get the utmost information out of them.
I'd owled my mother with the family owl and told her I'd been placed in Gryffindor. She was extremely proud and said to do well in Hogwarts and stay out of trouble.
I'd been surprised that I hadn't been in Ravenclaw. My mother had always described me as smart. But maybe I was brave. And bravery was one of my traits which was a very positive thing.
Being confident was the biggest thing I'd been described as being. I'd always thought confidence was key.
I began re-reading 'Tangled Secrets' excited. I'd always re-read books but they still gave the same thrill of reading them the first time.

Alone with my thoughts
Reading. Reading. Reading.
The only thing that helped me through tough times. My heart broke if something sad happened in a book I would feel pain through it as well.
Break ups, cheating, or death of one or both of them. Heartbreaking was the only word that described pain like that.
I put 'Tangled Secrets' away. And pulled out my diary. Writing things down helped clear things out of my mind.
Dear Diary,
I continued reading 'Tangled Secrets' again today. Re-reading books was always fun! I'd never understood why some people hated reading.
Maybe the stories affected them somehow. I'll never speak ill of someone who didn't like reading though.
Books, books, books. The thing that keeps me happy. I'd always read. Once I did a challenge of how many books I could read in an hour, to pass time. I'd managed to complete two books I was halfway through a begin another. So technically one and a half books, which I was proud of.
I'd had a reading buddy growing up. But she'd moved away and I haven't seen or talked to her since. She would be thirteen now.
But there was no point in dwelling in the past.
The future I should be focusing on.
Which I will focus on.
