snowball fight!
Never be so kind, you forget to be clever.
Self | Someone else | ThoughtsMadi kicked the snow around with the front of her boot as she walked. Her hands were buried deep in her pockets and she could see her breath in front of her. The fresh, new-fallen snow crunched under her feet. It was hiding the old leaves fall had brought and winter had taken away.
It was a perfect day. It was so peaceful. Barely anyone was around, there were almost no tracks in the snow except for the trail Madi was leaving behind her. There were no noises, even the gleeful chirping of the birds was gone. Everything was buried deep in a layer of clean white snow.
Madi slipped on the white gloves accompanying her hands in her pockets and bent down to form a snowball. Whenever it snowed in London, she used to have epic snowball fights with her friends and some of the neighborhood kids. Then they would go inside to one of the kids' houses and their parents would make them hot chocolate. Madi rarely won, but never minded.
She was aiming for a tree with a thick trunk, making it more likely for her to hit her target. She pulled the snowball back behind her and moved her arm forward, releasing the snowball when her arm was straight. She watched it soar, knowing after a few seconds that it wasn't going to hit its target. It was heading to the left. Madi had never had very good aim. It kept flying to the left until it eventually hit something. It collided against another person.
Madi put her hand to her mouth. "Oh my God, I'm so sorry!" she called.

snowball fight!

————————————————————————————————————————Jam gracefully traversed the snowy grounds of Hogwarts, each step leaving a dent in the pristine canvas beneath her boots. The falling snowflakes shimmered as the rays of morning light touched them, creating a sparkling white landscape that was very pleasant on such a peaceful morning.
The Ravenclaw girl was wrapped in a cozy off-white scarf, adorned with tiny peaches. She skidded along the path towards a tree with heaps of snow on the branches, steadily supported miraculously. Jam held a red-covered book in her gloved hands, her face revealing an expression that said that book was one she was excited to start.
As Jam puffed out a delicate white cloud, she suddenly felt a harsh thud on the back of her coat. It was strong enough to push her a little to the front and make her jump in surprise. She heard an alarmed voice call out just seconds later, apologising for what Jam assumed to be a bad aim.
The brunette swiftly, but gently, placed her book at the foot of the tree, where she gathered a clump of the white fluff and shaping it into a ball. Now armed with the projectile, Jam turned around and pulled her arm back. With a flick of her wrist, she sent the snowball soaring towards the girl who had accidentally hit her.
Watching her snowball find its mark with a “splat”, the girl grinned until her eyes formed a straight line. “Snowball fight!!!” Jam called out, letting giggles slip between her words. She dove to grab another handful of snow, moving quickly to avoid being hit by her new “rival”

Self | Someone else | ThoughtsMadi watched the girl she'd hit stumble forward. She put the book she was carrying down on the ground and Madi really hoped she hadn't gotten snow on the book. Hitting the girl's coat was one thing, they could be cleaned and were practically designed to withstand getting snow on them. But what if she'd destroyed the girl's book?
Madi watched the girl crouch on the ground. In a few seconds she came back up, and in a swift moment she threw a snowball straight at Madi. She screamed and tried to duck, but it was no use. The girl clearly had much better aim than Madi did, because her snowball hit Madi straight in the front of her jacket.
"Snowball fight!" the girl called out as she giggled. With that declaration, Madi was on the ground balling up a snowball. "Oh, you're on!" she yelled back. She stood up and flung her snowball, which just skimmed over the girl's head, who was getting another snowball. Madi was quick to get another one and throw it, and this time she didn't miss. She did a silent cheer and a fist pump. Her celebration didn't last for long when the girl threw a snowball at her, which knocked her hat off and left powdery snow in her dark brown hair. She could feel it already melting and shuddered as her hair became slightly damp. She quickly retrieved her hat and put it back on, but she knew she'd take a lot of valuable time and the girl would soon hit her with more snowballs.
