Off to a new school!
Kaori and her family stood at the junction between Platforms 9 and 10. Her Dad, ever the explorer had sunglasses above his eyes, a camera around his neck and he was holding multiple sheets of paper reading them as he looked around. Her mother was wearing more normal clothes, A simple blue blouse and dress.
"Okay! We are here!" her father exclaimed in Japanese. "According to the notice all we have to do is just walk through! Oh my my little girl is finally off to school!" he couldn't help but walk over and pick up Kaori and swing her around as they walked through the pillar and onto platform 9 and 3/4s.
Kaori for herself didn't really know what to say. It was so cool she can finally go to school like her brother! While she missed him and the fact he could go to the same school her parents was cool too she was still excited to be in a new environment. But she was also scared, what if her English wasn't good enough? What if she couldn't get along with anyone? What if they thought she was weird? She knew her parents would just tell to not worry and that most people will be nice so she just tried to remind herself that and continue on.
"Of course papa" she said as she watched her father hand off her luggage to one of the conductors. Talking to the man in English with barely an accent on his voice and the loud sounds of the station Kaori could barely understand what he was saying. Something about a package rule? She bit the bottom of her tongue and quickly hugged her mother.
"Oh my dear" her mother hugged her back. "We will still be here for you. Every week we will send a letter and allowance to you so you can have fun and still hear from us. Just don't spend it all on things you don't need!" she wagged her finger to drive her point across and Kaori nodded her head. As the train whistle blew, alerting everyone to get on.
Her father thanked the Conductor and turned around back to Kaori, "Momo-chan! It's time to go now!" he bent his legs to at the same height as her and gave her a fist bump, "I believe in you! Do your best Momo-chan!" He then stood up and flexed his arms, he wasn't the strongest man ever so his muscle's didn't show out but he knew it could make Kaori laugh, which he succeeded in. He then gave her another fist bump and in English proclaimed, "Fight on!" before sending her off on the train. Both parents waved until the train was well out of sight and while Shinichiro Morita would never admit it when they arrived home he definitely needed some comforting at the fact his daughter has finally left the home for school.
Kaori Morita for her part took a seat on the train. With her short stature her legs didn't even reach the bottom of the ground but she set her backpack aside and pulled out a book. It was a Manga she got from her cousins in Japan written by a Mumajin who she liked a lot. Putting her face in her book she sat on the seat as the train chugged along to its School.
