A clash with logic
(ENVIRONMENTAL NARRATION)
("Talking")
Harold and his parents prepared as well as possible for this day, after that unexpected and surreal visit at the entrance of your house from a supposed wizard, who claimed to be part of the staff of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. A school where they teach and guide young wizards to control and use their magical abilities in the best way.
His parents were at first skeptical, but then they opened their eyes to this new reality that was presented to them.
By the time Harold arrives at King Cross Station with his parents, together head towards the pillar between platforms 9 and 10., and you are surprised that there is no sign indicating Platform 9¾ somewhere.
Harold gets an idea in his head and you communicate it to your parents..
"if it's hidden because it's magic?"
His parents nod as they realize how obvious the possibility is, and now they focus on figuring out how to access Platform 9¾.
Your mother trying to follow magical logic, thinks she could make herself be seen if she asks to be seen.
"Appear, magical platform 9¾!"
The Harold's naive mother is frustrated to see that nothing happened, Your father chuckles a little at your mother's hilarious failed attempt, now your father decides to try something else and that is to touch the column between platform 9 and 10, on each of its sides and see if it opens some kind of door.
It is not until Harold's father touches the face on the right side that his hand slightly pierces the wall of the column, your father is puzzled for a few seconds, until he realizes that he has probably just found the entrance to platform 9¾.
Harold's father comes back to him and his mother with determination, and points to that face of the column.
"I think we need to go through the wall, I'll do it first and then you and your mother, okay?"
now they walk until are in front of the wall. your father is the first one to go through the barrier.
Harold and his mother take a moment before going through the barrier, He are not very sure about going through the barrier, Harold's mother notices his insecurity, she tells him to look at her and shows you a comforting smile, she strokes your hair to let you know that everything will be ok and to make Harold feel more secure.
"Nothing bad will happen, honey, let's do it together, ok?"
Harold nod a little calmer, turn around and now face the barrier, showing a little determination to your mother, she takes you by the hand while he carry your folding Luggage Carts.
Harold gain momentum next to your mother and both of you cross the barrier with one lunge.
and in less time than they expected, they arrive on the other side of the barrier.
harold and his mother look around and clearly notice how different this place is compared to king cross station.
harold's father who was waiting next to the guard patrolling the barrier on platform 9¾ comes to greet him and his mother.
"Son, your train has arrived, let's go over and get you ready to board."
Together your parents walk next to you until you are next to the train, you look up to see the platform number and you see that it is platform 9¾.
Are here now, Harold's excitement now is minor compared to the fear that has just arisen inside him. his head starts creating negative thoughts and thinking of all possible scenarios in which everything can go wrong.
"What if i get lost before i get to hogwarts?! what if the robe doesn't fit?! what if i'm not really a wizard?! i forgot to bring my favorite toy!"
Your parents approach, both lean over and begin to stroke you gently, Harold looks at them somewhat fearfully. They look him straight in the eye and begin to say goodbye to their son.
His mother kisses him on the forehead and takes him by the cheek.
"Be very careful, baby... try to have a good time, always remember to study hard, no slacking off, okay?..."
Her voice cracks a little at having to say goodbye to her son for so long, she gives him a big hug before leaving him and letting his father continue.
Harold's father puts his hand on his son's shoulder and looks at him with a proud smile.
"Son, be good, don't be in a hurry with everything, from now on all this will be something new for you, so don't get overwhelmed... do your best and don't let anyone go overboard with you or I'll teach a lesson to the wizard who does... Farewell, my son, i love you"
The farewell is over and now it's time to board the express to Hogwarts. Harold is saddened and afraid to say goodbye to your parents and board the train alone, but now that he's here, he must, so he turns around, approaches one of the train entrances and boards with his Folding Luggage Cart, leaving his parents behind.
