Appearance: Casey is 5 foot tall and is an extremely lanky child. Having not grown into her limbs yet, she's slightly awkward looking, but it doesn't bother her much. She has short, choppy black hair that always seems to be a mess, no matter how much effort was put into trying to tame it, and has dark brown eyes.
Casey was actually born in São Paulo, Brazil; her birth parents had taken a trip there, wanting something relaxing before the baby, and right before they left, she was born. Her mother was Brazilian and her father was Irish. They passed away when she was two and she was taken into the care of her godparents, Anthony and Daniella Haynes. They've been taking care of her ever since and, even though they looked nothing alike and she knew they weren't related by blood, she grew up to see Anthony and Daniella as her parents.
The two raised Casey in Kingswood, Ireland, where they settled after their own time at Hogwarts. They lived a fairly simple life, and Casey practically grew up as a muggle child. While she vaguely knew of the world of magic and such, she didn't think about it often, especially since she couldn't mention any if to her friends. So instead she spent a lot of her time in the woods nearby; her and her friends constantly coming with adventures and stories that they could act out. A lot of time was spent climbing trees, letting Casey put her long limbs to good use.
Her parents were excited when they had learned of her magic potential and taught her small stuff so she'd have some info when she went for her first year at Hogwarts. Casey on the hand, wasn't as thrilled.
Hogwarts was an adventure, and that was exciting, but that meant she wouldn't be there for her friends during the school year. They were young, but they had already form a sort of their own "outcast group" due to either the fact they looked a little weird or were just weird in general. Being a little hotheaded at times, she always defended her group from being bullied, especially when at times things got a little violent. It got her in trouble, sure, but Casey took care of her friends, and for the most part her parents understood that.
Getting her letter for Hogwarts had been interesting, and going to get her supplies was a lot of fun, but she was still nervous for the magical school. Casey had no idea how magical kids acting or if they were similar to muggle kids, and that threw her off slight. However, she'd always been an outgoing and decently social person, so she wasn't going to let her nerves hold her back too much.
Being sorted into Hufflepuff didn't hold any specific emotions for Casey. She knew of the different houses, her parents had gone into when they were teaching her about Hogwarts, but she still quite understand the importance of the different houses. She was fairly positive that there wasn't a house that was better then the other, so once again, she decided to just roll with it and see what happens.
